Happy Easter Memory Dex Cards
Happy Easter Crafty Friends! Jeanne here sharing my project for this week. I created these Memory Dex Cards which are super easy to create. I have made a step by step picture tutorial how to create these if you are new to paper crafting or just have yet to make them! I used papers from the April Scrapbook Kit which I absolutely love! If you have not picked up this kit, please run over there and grab yours! I also used the super cute Easter Egg Set .
I began by cutting some ivory card stock for my base @ 3.5 X 4 . I then took my Heidi Swapp Memory Dex Punch and made the holes on the cards. For those of you who might not have this punch I am sharing this video from YouTube that I had used prior to getting this punch.
I then picked out the papers from the Scrapbook Kit that I cut to size and then used the Heidi Swapp punch on them as well. Then I took a border die and cut a couple of pieces out and then trimmed them to size and adhered them before adding the pattern paper.
I also cut the papers for the back part of the card. Before adhering some together I used my corner rounder. Another quick step I did was I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Dried Marigold) around the design papers. I then set those aside while I worked on my Easter Egg Set. I began by adding some Heavy White Gesso from Finnabair, once dried I mixed some of the " Vintage Roses" Finnabair Mica Powders with the Finnabair Color Liquid Fluid Medium. These were from a previous Tres Jolie Kit.
Once those dried, I decided to add some white tulle from my stash. I adhered this using Fabri-tac. Then I began adding cut outs from the Laser cut outs from the collection which are included in the Scrapbook Kit.
On a couple of the laser cuts, I added embroidery thread to them. Lastly added flowers.
These honestly don't take long to create so if these are something you have not created then I hope you will give these a try. I hope that you have found a little of inspiration in these.
