Grungy Paper Doll Cards and Chipboard Tags

Hello Craft Friends!

Thank you for stopping by the Tres Jolie Blog! Today I'll be creating some Grungy Cards and Tags I hope you'll like. I'm using our newest Tres Jolie August Scrapbook kit! If you haven't seen it or ordered your kit yet, there's still time to order one.

The paper collection this month is from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Once in a Lifetime" there are 12x12 double sided patterned papers with journal cards and snippets you can cut out and use on all your paper crafts! Also included this kit you'll get Tres Jolie Chipboard stamps and Chipboard Tag, Finnibair Mechanicals Rustic gears pack and Vintage Trinkets Keys and no kit would be complete without Little Birdie flowers 2 packs! Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit!

From my stash i I am using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, foam dots and tape, Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper dolls, jute cord G45 metal corner bracket, cream card bases 6x6 inches and white acrylic paint.

Tag 1: I'm using the small tag measuring 3 & 1/4 x 6 & 1/2 inches. See photo:

I chose a patterned paper and traced around my chipboard tag including the hole at the top. See photo:

I used both sides of the same paper to cover my tag. I'm inking all the edges of my papers and fussycut pieces.  Punch the hole at the top and cut out your pieces. Glue your papers in place. From another paper, I tore the edges. See photo:

I cut out a ticket and stapled at the top. Then tucked the ticket behind my torn paper piece and glued these onto my tag. I added one of the Finnibair Mechanical Grungy gears at the bottom. I also added a Graphic45 metal corner bracket on the bottom right corner. See photo:

I chose a Tim Holtz idea-ology paper doll and taking a metal key and piece of string from my stash, I thread the string through my tiny metal key and glued behind my paper dolls hand. With foam dots I adhered my paper dolls on the right side. Here's acouple photos:

I also took another Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gear and glued over the hole at the top of my tag and tied and knotted a piece of jute cord through the hole. To finish I added a sentiment sticker from my stash.

Here's some finished photo!

Card 1: The card size I'm using is 6x6 inches. I cut a light blue paper to measure 5 & 3/4 x 5 & 3/4 inches. Glue onto your card. I cut a light blue script paper to measure 5 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches and adhered on top of my previous card layer using foam dots to create dimension. Here's the two papers I chose.

From the cover sheet, I cut out some octagon shapes, and arranged onto my card in scattered places. Here's acouple photos:

I took a paper doll and added some foam dots on the backside and adhered him on top of my octagon shapes at the top. I glued acouple Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gears to finish my card. Here's my finished card:

Card 2: I cut a piece of Tan/white script paper same size as we did before (5 &3/4 x 5 & 3/4 ) I adhered it to my card surface with foam tape. See photo:

Set your card aside for now. I took a new Tres Jolie Chipboard Trellis piece. You can find all the chipboard available for purchase here: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard

I covered my Chipboard trellis with some Folkart Vintage white acrylic paint. Let dry.

After your chipboard piece has dried, I took some brown script paper and tore in 3 pieces. Inked along the edges and glued onto the 3 corners on my card base. See photo:

I glued onto the front of my card. I took another Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper dolls and with foam dots I adhered my wedding couple in the center underneath my chipboard trellis. I took a blue rose from iLittle Birdie flowers pack in the kit, and glued at the top of my chipboard trellis. In the top left corner of my card, I glued the LOVE Finnibair Mechanicals Vintage Trinkets Keys, added another Little Birdie flower on the bottom left corner. And a Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gear on the top right corner. Here's some photos:

Tag 2: I covered the front and back with patterned papers and punched my hole at the top of my chipboard tag. See photos:

I tore some floral pieces from my scraps, and wet them with a little water and using my fingers, i curled the edges and inked them. I also cut out a ticket and Luftpost piece. See photo:

I took acouple fabric strips and glued along the bottom edge on my tag and at the top. I glued the Travel floral piece above my fabric strip at the bottom. I glued the longer floral piece along the right edge. I tucked the ticket and Luftpost pieces behind my floral piece. I added a small Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gear at the top. With foam dots, I adhered a tiny paper doll couple. I glued a blue rose from the kit on the bottom right corner. Then tied some jute cord through the hole on my tag. Here are some closeup and finished photos:

Card 3: I cut my paper same size as we did on previous cards. I used the World Travel paper. I took one of the Tres Jolie chipboard stamps, painted with white acrylic paint around the edge. Then cut the little girl image from one of the post card journal cards and trimmed to fit inside my Chipboard stamp. Glue in place. See photo:

From one of the larger journal cards in cut out this notepad image and with foam dots, I added a paper doll, Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gear and glued the Luftpost piece onto my notepad. See photo:

With foam tape I adhered my notepad piece onto the left side on my card at an angle. I glued my Chipboard stamp on the top right. I glued some Little Birdie flowers on the bottom right corner and added these Finnibair Mechanicals Vintage Trinkets Keys TRAVEL along the bottom left edge. Here's some finished photos!
