Gold Sparkle Christmas Cards and Gift Tags
Hello Crafters! Have you made your Christmas cards yet? How about some gift tags to match? Well that's what I'll be creating and sharing today using the Tres Jolie December Cards Tags and More kit!
This month's Cards Tags and More kit features 8x8 papers from Ciaobella "Sparkling Christmas " collection. You get 12 sheets with some small Journaling cards and Fussycut Elements. From my stash I will be using some plain white Tags, White card bases, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Rounded corner punch, Dazzle stickers, Gold Tulle, Crafters Companion Glitter Gold cardstock, gold micro beads, foam dots and foam tape, Crafters Companion Festive Wonder die set.
My card bases measure 7 & 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches. I chose acouple patterned papers from the kit and cut to fit my card front.
Card one: I adhered my base paper to my card base, trimmed down slightly so leaving about 1/8 inch of white border around my card.
Taking the Diecut frame included in your kit, I die cut 2 pieces using one green speckled paper from the kit and a gold glitter cardstock piece from my stash. For the other die cut frame piece I diecut one of the small sentiment journal cards from the back of the front cover.
Next using a Die set from my stash, I diecut some pine branches. I fussycut some images from the elements sheet.
I arranged my embellishments before adhering them to my card base. I used foam dots to add dimension to the lanterns and one of the Poinsetta Flowers. I adhered 3 gold star stickers and applied Stickles Stardust glitter to some of the floral petals. In the center of my Poinsetta Flowers i added some gold micro beads. Here's some closeup photos!
Card 2: I chose a patterned paper and cut to measure 7 & 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Then adhered to my card base.
From another scrap paper I tore the top edge and inked around the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, then adhered at the top of my card with foam tape.
I fussycut a few ornament babbles and cat image from the elements sheet, cut out another small journal card and some Poinsetta Flowers. I adhered the journal card at the top of my card. With foam dots I adhered my 3 ornaments and using a gold gel pen, I drew some lines above each ornament to resemble string. I glued a gold Poinsetta flower in my stash (from last year's Tres jolie Christmas kit. I adhered the cat on the chair using foam dots. Added the gold tree sticker and applied some Dazzle gold stickers on the tree. I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on the flower petals. Here's my finished cards:
Now we can create some matching gift tags.
Cut out 5 of the smaller Journaling cards. My tags measure 2 & 1/2 x 5 inches.
Using my corner punch, I rounded all four corners and the glued them onto each tag. I like to use a variety of different embellishments to decorate my Gift tags.
Gift tag 1: I adhered a gold sticker flower from the kit. I tied some gold tulle through the hole of my gift tag. Glued a Little Birdie flower from this month's Card kit and added a few Dazzle stickers from my stash. Here's a photo:
Gift Tag 2: I adhered another ornament gold sticker and flower from the Card kit. Tied gold tulle through the hole of my gift tag and a few Dazzle stickers!
Gift tag 3: I adhered a gold dove sticker on the left, some Dazzle stickers and another flower and gold tulle.
Gift Tag 4: I tied gold tulle through the hole of my tag as we did previously. Then glued another flower on top. Added a gold star sticker and acouple Dazzle stickers tiny stars! Here's a photo:
Tag 5: I adhered a gold star sticker from the kit, gold tulle and flower at the top of my Gift tag. Then added acouple Dazzle sticker stars.
Now your gift tags are finished! I think they would add a perfect touch to any wrapped present!
