Gnome is Where My Honey Bee Wood Decor Frame

Dana here! I hope you are having a good week! Gnomes are all the craze. I think they are so adorable and there's so many different ways to create your cards, layouts and albums.
Today I'm going to be creating a Gnome/Bees Home Decor Frame project. We will be using the Tres Jolie May Cards Tags and More kit! It's filled with lots of colored cardstock, 6- 12x12 patterned papers from Uniquely Creative along with a Metal Die Flower Clusters and Sentiment Stamp set, perfect for any occasion! Also from my stash, this cute Gnome paper collection from Photoplay " Tulla & Norbert "Sweet as Honey", Martha Stewart Florentine Gold glitter, foam dots, xaco knife, tiny sunflowers, black trim and gold tinsel stems.
To begin I took my 2 bottom wood bases and chose 2 different patterned papers to cover both bases. Trace around each wood base and cut out roughly and glue onto your bases. Using a xaco knife trim away any excess paper. Be sure to cut out all 3 slots on both of your wood bases. You can take a Distress tool (my stash) and smooth out any rough edges. See photos:
Glue both bases on top of one other, making sure your slots are lined up correctly. See photo:
Set your bases aside and chose another patterned paper and repeat the same steps as we did with both bases. You can also paint, ink, stamp or stencil your frames and bases if you desire.
I cut out a journal card and glued behind my wood frame. You could add a photo here if you like.
Set your frame aside for now. Take out 2 of your Tres Jolie Chipboard borders. I covered both of mine using gold glitter. Set aside to dry.
I also took out some flower Cluster dies from this kit, and using the colored cardstock, I diecut some flowers and stems.
Now the fun part of decorating our wood frame! I took the Tres Jolie chipboard and glued the honeycomb backgrounds on the right side of my wood frame. I added a bee sticker and Bees onto my chipboard honeycomb background.
Take your other chipboard background and I applied a Gnome and flower cart sticker, gluing my diecut flowers in place to appear inside my cart.Slide this chipboard piece into the first slot. Now I took acouple gold tinsel stems and wrapped and twisted and added some back trim.
Glue both ends to secure. Now glue around the edge of your wood bases. Here's a photo:
I decorated my wood frame with some stickers and added a sentiment sticker along the bottom edge of my frame. Slide your frame into the back slot.
To finish, I glued acouple small sunflowers on the upper left corner on my frame and on the bottom edge. I also added a gold Prima flower from the kit! Here's a closeup look:
Now your Decor Frame is ready to display and enjoy! These also make a great gift idea. They can be laid flat for mailing or easy storage!

May 2024 Mood Board Challenge
Tres Jolie has always hosted a monthly sketch or mood board challenge. So, with that being said, here are the rules.
