Floral "Reflections " Tag Book

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm Dana! I  can't believe May is almost over! I'm looking forward to Summer it's one of my favorite seasons! Today I'll be sharing my last project for the month of May. I'm going to be creating a Floral Tag Book, using the Tres Jolie May Scrapbook kit!

This is a fabulous kit you'll want to order early because they sell out quickly. This kit includes Uniquely Creative "Peonies and Proteas double sided patterned papers,  (you get 16  double sided papers 2 of each design, along matching Diecuts and Embellishment Wooden Buttons! Tres Jolie chipboard Nature https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/nature Prima marketing flowers 2 packs. With this kit you'll be able to create lovely floral layouts, home decor, and so much more. There also are several sheets of images to fussycut and cute critter images!

From my stash, I'll be using heavy cardboard, xaco knife, glue, ribbon, ruffle trim, white paper doily, metal ring, Stickles Glitter Diamond, metal paper clip, Luna Paste Moonlight Pearl,  stapler, foam dots and tape.

To begin my project, I took some heavy cardboard and cut 5 Tag bases measuring 3 x 7 3/4 inches.  You can use Tres Jolie chipboard Tags https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/miscellaneous

Next I cut out 8 total of the patterned tags  from both of the "Native Passion " sheets. I cut an additional 2 tag papers to cover my other Tag base.

Save the top portion from this paper to use later.

Glue your papers to the front and back of each tag. Trim any excess paper away using an x-acto knife. Here's a photo of my covered tag bases.

Now we can start decorating the front of our tags, which is one of my favorite parts of crafting! I'll be using a variety of fussycut images, some of the diecuts, wooden buttons and other embellishments! I will be inking the edges of my paper using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs from my stash. But you can use your own imagination and design. I hope I will inspire you!

Tag 1: I fussycut out the Roses floral/leaves, tiny bird, branch from the "Native Passion " sheet. I chose one of the sentiment diecut pieces and flower from our Uniquely Creative Diecut package, along with a matching floral diecut.

I layered my diecut over top of my fussycut image, using foam dots to add dimension.

Now glue towards the top of your tag base. I fussycut some leaves, bird and glued behind my floral ppiece. I cut a piece of ruffle trim and glued along the bottom edge. Here's acouple photos:

Tag 2: I cut a piece from the "Warm Glow" paper to 6 & 7/8 x 3 inches. I tore the paper along the edges, applied some Distress Ink and with foam dots I adhered on top of my tag base. From the "Peonies and Proteas" paper I cut out the small pink journal card, sentiment, Kowala Bear and tiny butterfly. From the Diecuts package, I chose a Rose banner, Make a Wish sentiment. I fussycut some flowers and leaves.  Then arranged them and once I'm satisfied with their placement, I adhered onto my tag. The Kowala Bear I adhered with foam dots. The pink flower I had in my stash from a previous Tres Jolie Kit. I applied a bit of Luna paste Moonlight Pearl on the petals of my flower. This adds a nice sparklely look! I cut out the small pink button image. I applied some Spectrum Noir Glossy Hightlights on top. Set aside to dry throughly. Then I tucked the paper button behind my pink flower with glue. And glued my with love sentiment and butterfly along the bottom. The penant flag i adhered at the top of my tag using foam dots. Here are my finished tag photos.

Tag 3: I created a pocket by trimming the green dotted journal card and glued in place. I took a piece of Sparkle ribbon and glued along the bottom edge of my tag. I applied a "Love"  button on the right bottom corner.i fussycut some leaves, adhered the matching floral diecut over the same image on my journal card using foam dots. I glued and tucked behind my flower. Taking a Prima flower pink rose I glued it on top of my flower image.i cut out the green critter stamp and applied a matching diecut over the top of the critter and tucked my stamp card inside my pocket! Here's a few photos:

Tag 4: I cut out the 4 wood grain tags from my paper, keeping them intact. Score in the center and fold accordian style. See photos:

Next I fussycut out all 4 tiny stamps with the animals and some sentiments.

I adhered one onto each tag section using foam dots. I glued one of each sentiment at the top on each tag. Then fold and secure shut with a tiny paper clip. To finish my tag, i glued a Keepsake diecut sentiment above and a fussycut sentiment at the bottom with foam tape. See photos:

Tag 5: I glued a small white doily at towards the top. I trimmed and adhered another journal card with foam dots over top.  I fussycut some more leaves and Admit One tamp image and stapled slightly at an angle. I glued another Prima Pink rose at the top, tucking my leaves behind my flower. Glue in place. The small roses I adhered on the bottom edge of my journal card. I applied another wooden button at the bottom edge. Here's some photos:

To finish our tag book, I added a metal ring through the holes on my tag so they are attached together. I left the backs plain but you could decorate or add photos or sentiments if you desire.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! I had fun making this tag book. Thanks for visiting our Tres Jolie blog! We love to see your crafty makes! So please share on our Tres Jolie Cafe Facebook page.

I hope you have a great week!

Happy Crafting!
