Family Tree Chronicles Mini Album

Hello Craft Friends!

My name is Dana. I'm back to share my last June project for Tres Jolie Kit club! I love to Scrapbook and create mini albums that I can treasure and enjoy for years to come. I think they make great gifts too.

Today I'm using the Tres Jolie June Scrapbook kit! If you haven't ordered your kit, and want to create one of your own, I suggest you order soon. They do sell out quickly.

The June Scrapbook kit includes Uniquely Creative Vintage Chronicles 12x12 design papers you're going to LOVE! You get 16 double sided patterned papers, matching Creative diecuts and beautiful high quality rubons to embellish your layouts! You also receive Pretty Prima flowers and Tres Jolie Chipboard Swirls and Scrolls https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/swirls-scrolls. Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit

The album I'll be using is from Frank Garcia's Memory Hardware Gatefold Large Album. Also from my stash I'll be using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Paper dolls, hole punch, Stickles Glitter Stardust, clear bubble gems blue glitter gel pen, Grren Apple Smooch ink and foam dots.

To start this project, I chose a variety of patterned papers from the kit and cut and glue to both the front and back covers and each side of the album. Here's the measurements for cutting all my papers.

2 Front panels: 4 & 1/4 x 8 & 1/2 inches, Sides measure 3 x 8 & 1/2, Backside 8 & 1/2 x 8 & 1/2, inside pages measure 8x8 inches, 2 inside flaps measure 7 x 8 1/2 inches.

Glue your papers in place. For the 2 inside flaps, I adhered several pieces of score tape (my stash) to adhere. You want to add enough of score tape so your paper won't buckle. See photo:

Slightly bend your album between the inside creases. Now you can attach your Prima Memory Hardware Latch (my stash)to the front lining up both the latch and hook. I mark with a pencil where the holes are so I can attach my small metal Brads in place. I use a pricker tool to punch my hole so my brad fits snuggly inside. See photo:

I recommend using Beacon glue or other strong adhesive to attach your metal pieces. Let dry throughly overnight before proceeding. Here's a photo:

Now we can start decorating our front panels. Left side panel: I cut apart a piece of the Tres Jolie Butterflies Swirls chipboard. I applied some Blue glitter gel pen to the chipboard Butterflies and Green apple Smooch ink to the tiny leaves. See photo:

I glued one chipboard piece at the top of my left front panel and the other at the bottom right panel. I fussycut some images and sentiment phases from the element pages in the kit. I will use Creative diecuts and Prima flowers. Some I'll save for my inside pages.  See photo:

I play with the placement of all my embellishments before gluing them in place. The left panel I added a window and sentiment at the bottom. Here's a closeup look:

Right Front Panel: I added some fussycut florals, Creative diecuts and Prima flowers. In addition I applied some Clear Bubbles in scattered areas on the front of my album. Some I adhered using foam dots. The sentiment I slightly curled to create movement and glued below the key. To finish I applied some Dazzle Silver Sticker circles from my stash. This adds a nice sparklely touch! Here's a closeup of the other front panel:

Here is one side panel. I just covered with patterned paper and left as is.

Other side panel: I cut apart another Tres Jolie chipboard Butterflies and Swirls piece and glued at the bottom edge. I added acouple Prima Flowers. At the top I glued the butterfly card from the Creative Cuts package and glued a fussycut matching butterfly over the top of the butterfly on the card. Then glued a sentiment below. Here's a photo:

Inside left flap: I fussycut and adhered a window image and added some fussycut flower pots with foam dots. I added a sentiment sticker from the kit and fussycut butterfly at the bottom. Here's a photo:

I created a side pocket measuring 4x8 inches and using a border punch from my stash, i adhered this punched border along the edge of my pocket. Then glued on the left side of my page. I fussycut the matching image from the same paper and adhered using foam dots. Tuck your tags inside your pocket. Here's how my page and tags look:
