Fall Paper Crate with Tags and Cards

Hello Craft Friends!

Hope you all had a Blessed Thanksgiving! This month has flown by hasn't it? For Today's project we will create a Fall paper crate to hold tags, cards and envelopes with a fall theme. I'm using the Tres Jolie November Scrapbook kit and  Tres Jolie Pumpkin chipboard https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/sports

The Scrapbook kit for this month has beautiful fall 12x12 papers from Alchemy Art "Gold Autumn " collection that include Bonus sheets and Fussycut Elements sheets. These are great for adding aa embellishments to any pproject. Exclusive to this kit you'll receive Tres Jolie chipboard Tree. Scrapberry's set of Polymer Columns, 49 and Market flowers Rustic Bouquet and Prima marketing flowers!

From my stash, I'll be using foam dots, Kraft cardstock, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, paper punch, round corner punch, jute cord, chipboard stickers, Sizzix Thinlets envelope dies, and file folder, Stickles Glitter Orange Peel, brown and green Prima Chalk inks.

To start this project we'll be creating our Paper Crate first. I'm using a heavy Kraft cardstock 300 GSM. I wanted my paper crate to be sturdy to hold my Tags and Cards. But you can use a light Kraft cardstock if that's what you have on hand. I would recommend adding two layers.

Bottom of our crate measures 5 & 1/2 x 7 inches. Score 1 inch on all 4 sides. Fold along score lines and crease well. Score again at 1/2 inch on all 4 corners. Then fold and crease. Now cut your 2 bottom half pieces out on both sides. It should look like this:

Glue all 4 corners together to form the bottom of your crate. You may have to hold corners in place with clothespins till dry.

For the sides, cut 4 strips measuring 1x9 inches. Score at 1/2 inch and 4 inches on all 4 sides. See photo:

Now glue together the 1/2 inch end to the long end of each strip to form two square pieces. See photo:

Next cut 4 strips measuring 1x 3 & 1/2 inches. Score 1/2 inch on the 1 inch side, on 3 & 1/2 side ,score at 1 inch, 1 & 1/4,  2 & 1/4 and 2 & 1/2. Add glue on the backside on the  bottom of your strip and adhere the strip to each corner of your crate. Repeat this with all 4 pieces. The pieces will stand upright. Now add glue to the next section and slip your first square section over the top of crate to where you placed your glue. Repeat this with your other square piece aligning at the top. See photos:

Now your crate is ready to decorate!

I like to fussycut different images from the Bonus and Fussycut elements sheets so that they are ready to use. I'm inking all my fussycut images. I cut apart some small journal cards and inked those also. Here's a photo:

The largest journal card I score in the center at 4 inches.

On the top of my crate, I applied 2 different washi tapes from my stash. Here's a photo:

On the front bottom edge of my paper crate, I adhered the little fox and mushrooms pieces using foam dots. In the center I glued a chipboard sticker sentiment from my stash. Here's a photo:

Tag 1: I cut from one of the patterned papers a tag measuring 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches. Taking a hole punch, I punched a hole at the top of my tag. I adhered the boy with the basket of apples, and cluster of apples using foam dots onto the front of my tag. I added acouple sentiments from my stash and tied a jute cord through the hole. See photo:

Taking my Tres Jolie chipboard pumpkin, I applied some Prima Chalk Ink  Knotted Wood on the stem. On the swirls I applied brown Chalk Ink and Summer Field Chalk Ink on the leaves. On the pumpkin, I applied some Stickles glitter Orange Peel. Let dry. I tied some thin jute cord through the hole at the top. Now it's ready to hang and display. Here's some photos:

Journal  Card: I cut this out from the back of the cover sheet from the 12 x12 paper pack. Score in half at 4 inches. I applied a sentiment sticker Grateful on the bottom edge.

On the backside, left side,  I stamped a sentiment using a stamp and black ink from my stash. On the right I adhered a sentiment sticker.

Tag 2: I cut from another patterned paper to measure 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches. Punched a hole at the top. I adhered my fussycut scarecrow with foam dots. Next to my scarecrow, I glued one of the leaves from the 49 and Market flower pack. To me it resembles a corn stalk. I glued some of the matching small blue flowers on the top left corner. From my stash, I glued a small corn ephemera piece and a few black crows. I tied some blue jute cord through the hole at the top of my tag. Here a photo:

Now taking some Sizzix Thinlets dies from my stash, I diecut a small envelope, tiny card and film slide (will use later) from some of the patterned papers. Then using my diecut machine, I diecut and folded my envelope and glued in place. The truck card I left as is and on the backside, I glued a fussycut flowers in place. Here's some photos:

On the front of my envelope I glued the cute gnome, a leaf and added a sticker sentiment. On the envelope flap I glued a chipboard heart.

I diecut a Sizzix Thinlets file folder, and Filed words. I also diecut acouple small journal cards.

I folded my file folder and glued my Filed word on the top tab. On the frontside, I adhered the girl with her umbrella using foam dots and glued acouple leaves next to her on the right along with a sticker sentiment.

On the larger journal card, I glued a chipboard sticker at the top. I applied some clear sparkle pen (from my stash)the pumpkins and leaves. Tuck your cards inside your file folder and using a copper paper clip from my stash to keep my file in place.

Backside of large journal card: I fussycut the sweater image and adhered with foam dots. I glued acouple fussycut leaves and sticker sentiment to my card. Here's a photo:

Tag 3: This tag measures the same size as we previously did. I glued the flag pendant fussycut piece at the top. Taking the diecut film strip I added a photo inside and glued the diecut tab at the top left corner of my tag. I glued a chipboard sticker sentiment on top! Then tied some jute cord through the hole on my tag into a knot. Here's a photo:

Pocket envelope: I diecut my pieces using my Sizzix Thinlets dies. Fold and glue my envelope together. On the front I glued this girl and cocoa image. Then adhered a sticker sentiment at the top.

The inside card I glued some more fussycut cocoa cup and marshmallow heart. Here's another closeup photo:

Backside of Card:

Now we are all done! You can store all your tags, cards and envelopes inside your crate. Now you can display and enjoy it for years to come!
