Fairy Greeting Cards & Pop- up Box Card

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here! June is upon us! Flowers are blooming, and fairies adorn our gardens. Today I'll be creating some fairy garden cards and even a fun pop-up box card i hope you'll like.

To create my project I'm using the Tres Jolie June Cards Tags and More kit! Wait till you see all the pretty papers from Uniquely Creative "Serenity " collection! You will receive a whole 6x6 pack of 32 single sided papers, (2 of each design) Serenity Slimline fold out album, fussycut element sheets, matching Creative diecuts, and even an inspiration sheet!  Also included are a pack of Rectangle Cards with Envelopes, Tres Jolie Chipboard Fairies, Crystal Bling gems, white silk ribbon, and Prima marketing flowers! Here's a photo of the kit:

So order your kit now! This is one you don't want to miss out on.

I will be using some items already in my stash such as Stickles Stardust glitter, foam dots and tape, white cardstock scraps, Versamark Clear ink and Stardust silver embossing glitter, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and grass metal dies.

To make my first card: take one of the white card bases from your Cards/Envelopes pack in the kit. I chose the purple gingham/floral and green background papers from the paper pack, see photo:

trim off about 1/8 of an inch off one side, to fit your 4 & 1/4 x 5 & 7/8 card base. See photo:

Glue on the front of your card. See photo:

Taking a grass die from my stash and the green paper from the kit,  I diecut 3 pieces of grass fringe and inked along the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mowed Lawn (from my stash) See photo:

I glued my first piece of grass along the bottom edge. Followed by my other two pieces using foam tape on the backside. This creates some dimension. See photo:

Next I chose some of the Uniquely Creative Creative diecuts to embellish my card. I chose the tree stump. Mushroom, bunny, squirrel, fawn, sentiment and one of the cute fairies! See photo:

I glued my sentiment at the top of my card. I added foam dots on my other Creative diecuts and applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on my fairy wings and dress. To finish my card I placed some of the Crystal embellies in scattered areas. Here's some finished photos:

Card #2 : I cut a piece of green gingham paper to measure 3 & 5/8 x 5 & 1/2 inches. Adhere with foam tape on the backside and on the front of your card vertically. See photo:

I chose some Creative diecuts to adorn my card. I cut a piece of white ribbon from the kit, and adhered along the bottom edge. See photo:

With foam dots I added my fairy on the top left corner, the large floral diecut in the center of my card. I glued a sentiment at the bottom above my ribbon. The little birdie inside adhered with foam dots above my birthday words, a daisy diecut on the right side on my ribbon. I tucked one of the tickets in the Creative Cuts package, behind the large floral piece. Then glued a few crystals in several areas. I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on my fairy wings and dress. Here's some closeup photos!

Card 3: I covered the front of my card with the Woodgrain paper from the paper pack. See photo:

Take one of the Tres Jolie chipboard fairies from your kit. You can add inks, glitter, Embossing powders and more to decorate your chipboards. I covered the fairy wings with Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled some Stardust silver embossing glitter on top of her wings. Then heat embossed. See photo:

Using a purple sparkly pen, (my stash) colored her shoes, drew her eye with a black marker, Her hair I painted with gold Smooch ink, and her dress pink sparkly marker. (My stash) I also chose 2 faries, sentiment and daisy from the Creative Cuts package. See photo:

I added foam dots on the backside of my chipboard fairy and adhered on the leftside. With foam dots I adhered my two fairies, daisy flower and sentiment. Then added several crystal embellies! Here's some photos:

Card 4: I chose several coordinating patterned papers from the kit. I cut them about 1/2 inch. Then start gluing them onto the front of my card, leaving about 1/8 inch between each strip. See photo:

After adhering all your paper strips, trim off the excess at the bottom. See photo:

Next I chose a sentiment, fairy, small butterfly, owl and one of the larger flower diecuts. See photo:

I cut both ends of my sentiment to create a banner flag, then glued at the top. With foam dots, I adhered my fairy, butterfly, and floral piece. I glued the little owl at the top of my floral piece to make him appear to be sitting among the petals! I finished my card adding some crystals and Stickles Stardust glitter on my fairy wings and dress. Here's some photos!

Now we can create our Pop up Box Card! I think these are so much fun to create with this cute Card kit. They also lie flat for easy mailing! I think any crafty friend would love to receive one.

To make your base: I'm using a 8 &1/2 x 12 inch of white cardstock from my stash. Score at 2 & 3/4, 5 & 1/2, 8 & 1/4 and 11 inches. See photo:

Take your scored paper and from cut off a piece measuring 2x12 inches. Now your paper should measure 6 & 1/2 x 12 inches. Score this at 2 & 3/4 inches. See photos:

Next take your scissors and cut up to the scored line (on shorter size) then cut the on the end diagonally. See photo:

Fold on lines and glue your box together. Cut 2 pieces of white cardstock scraps to measure 2 x 12 inches. Cut into 2 pieces measuring 4 & & 3/4 and fold on both ends. See photos:

Glue your small inserts to the inside of your box, the front flaps facing the front and the back piece the flaps face towards the back.Set aside your box.

Choosing several different patterned papers in cut as follows:

2 & 1/2 x 2 & 1/2 inch pieces- 4 total. Cut another 4 papers to measure 2 & 1/2 x 3 & 1/2 inches. Glue all your papers to each panel on your box card. See photo:

Your box with inside strips attached and all your patterned papers glued in place, should look like this:

Now from my scraps I  cut some skinny strips, various sizes and lengths to attach all my embellishment diecuts inside my box. See photo:

Next chose different diecuts to decorate the inside of your pop up box. Before gluing inside, make sure the diecuts don't interfere when you lay your pop up box flat. I added fairies, sentiment,  floral and butterflies! Continue to add as many diecuts as you like. Then I decorated each of my flat panels with the diecut pieces, and sentiments. You can decorate the panels underneath each flap if you like. I left mine as is.

Here's some closeup photos!

Now we are finished with our Pop up Box Card and I hope you try to create one for yourself to share with a friend or family member. You also could make more for the different holidays and seasons.
