Fairy Garden Acrylic Wall Hanging

Hello Craft Friends! Dana here to share my last project idea for the month of September! I love creating home decor projects to display every year. How about you?

Today I'll be creating a Fairy Garden Acrylic Wall Hanging using the September Scrapbook kit featuring Prima Marketing "The Plant Department " papers, matching Ephemera pieces and of course pretty Prima flowers! And some lovely Tres Jolie Chipboards are included. Here's a look at this month's kit:

I'll be adding some items from my stash including Fairy journal card, foam tape and dots, Acrylic Slimline album pages from Clear Scraps, Stickles Diamond glitter, Paint box pigment inks, pale pink tulle, Distress Ink Milled Lavender and Luna paste Moonlight Pearl.

The acrylic album pages( 2 total) measure 5 & 3/8 x 11 inches, including the tabs.

To begin peel off the protective film from both sides of your acrylic. Then place one acrylic album piece with the tab on the upper left corner and the other album page with the tab at the bottom. Cut your base papers to measure 11 x 4 & 3/4 inches, mark and punch holes and adhere onto the top and bottom pieces  leaving about 1/4  of the acrylic visible on the top and bottom pages. Note: I inked the edges of my papers before adhering. Turn over one of your acrylic bases and added some adhesive tape along the edge where your holes meet. Then adhere both pieces together pressing down firmly.  Here's some photos!

Next I chose one of the 12x12 patterned papers in the kit (I'm using the paper with the garden door)  and fussy cut out several images to layer and create my design scene. I applied foam dots to the back and adhered my garen door/wall on the left side and the plant department columns piece on the right side, matching evenly against my garden wall. Here's some photos!

In addition I fussy cut out a small Fairy from a paper in my stash. I looked through the ephemera pack and chose a few pieces to use to embellish my piece. Set these aside for now.

Take one of your chipboard rose pieces in your kit (These Chipboards are exclusive to this kit) I  applied some Paintbox Pigment inks in pink, green to my chipboard piece.

I did end up cutting off the tiny rose on the left side of my chipboard piece so it wouldn't cover up the floral image on my paper. I glued my chipboard piece in the upper right corner. Here's a photo!

I adhered the ephemera sentiment "Living your dreams"  in the center of my decor base. Then using my hot glue gun ( my stash) I carefully peeled off the  back rose petals from each of the small Prima flower roses before gluing onto each side of my sentiment. I adhered foam dots on the back of my peacock ephemera piece and adhered below my sentiment piece. Here's a closeup photo:

I tore two pieces of the brick paper from the bottom edge (paper with the peacocks and roses on it) inked the edges using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs (my stash) and glued and layered both pieces in the top left corner. I trimmed both ends slightly from both the simple pleasures and just perfect sentiment pieces, and glued one on each of the tabs. Here's a photo:

I applied form dots to the back of my fairy and adhered her on top of the garden door! Here's a closeup look:

I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on the fairies dress and my peacock feathers. To finish I cut a piece of pale pink tulle and Knotted both ends and hot glued onto the backside of my acrylic base. Now your home decor piece is finished and ready to display and enjoy!
