Fairy Boutique Matchbox & Mini Album

Welcome here! September has arrived! So hard to believe the Summer is over and kids are back in school. Hope you all had a great summer!
I'm excited to share my first September project using this Fabulous Tres Jolie Cards Tags and More kit! You are going to fall in love with these cute fairies and patterned papers from the new Graphic45 "Fairy Boutique " collection. In the kit you will receive a 12x12 paper pad with 24 double sided papers 2 of each design, along with solid papers that coordinate perfectly. There are journal cards, Ephemera pack assortment, matching Rub-on transfers, Little Birdie flowers, Buttons Galore Crystals- Grape, Black Card bases-4 total with matching envelopes, and Graphic45 Matchbox/Album! From my stash i will be using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Graphic 45 Fairy Boutique sticker sheet, foam tape and dots, xaco knife, Jute cord, pink, purple and green, Stickles Glitter Stardust and Diamond, and cream cardstock for photo mats.
To begin, we'll be decorating our G45 Matchbox. You can remove the mini album and set aside for now. I cut 2 border pieces from the "Sprinkle Magic " paper. See photo:
I inked the edges using Distress Ink. (I will be inking all my papers and ephemera for this project) Glue your border strip in place and trim off excess. Repeat this on the other side. See photo:
Slide the inside drawer out. For both top and bottom short outside panels, I cut 2 pieces measuring 4 & 3/8 x 2 & 1/4 inches from the "Lilac Lavender " patterned paper. See photo:
Glue these on both outside panels on your Matchbox.
From the same paper, cut 2 pieces at 4 & 1/4 x 5 & 1/4 Glue on inside short panels.
Cut 2 pieces 4 & 1/4 x 5 & 1/4 and glue on both inside long panels. For the inside bottom of your box, I cut a piece from "Woodland Sprites" paper at 4 & 1/4 x 5 & 1/inches.

To decorate the top of my Matchbox with the window opening, I cut a fairy journal card. Before adhering, I took a piece of paper from " Pixie Town" I flipped my box over and traced around the window. See photo:
Then using my x-acto knife I cut out the window. Glue this piece on the top of your Matchbox. Then glue your Fairy journal card behind the window. See photo:
I cut another piece of Lilac paper to measure 4 & 3/4 x 5 & 1/2 inches and glued this on the backside bottom of my Matchbox. See photo:
To decorate the top of my Matchbox, I cut out a sentiment piece and glued along the top upper right corner. With foam dots, I adhered a tiny Fairy ephemera piece, added a few crystal gems. Along the bottom edge I glued 3 Little Birdie flowers, another Fairy ephemera piece with foam dots and a Mushroom sticker! I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on the fairy wings and fairy dress on my journal card. Now we are done with decorating our Matchbox. Here's some photos!
Set your Matchbox aside and next we can start our Mini Album. For the front and back covers, I cut 2 pieces from the green leaves paper, measuring 3 & 3/4 x 4 & 3/4.I also trimmed an ephemera piece with the shoes and crowns to measure 2 & 4 3/4 inches.
Glue in place on the front and backside of your album. Glue your Spine piece in place. See photos:
To decorate the front of my mini album, I cut out a journal card with the "Sparkle sentiment at the top and green dress. I chose a matching Ephemera dress.
Adding some foam dots on the backside of my journal card and ephemera dress, I adhered my journal card in the center of my front cover.On top of my journal card, i added the matching ephemera dress.
I added the shoes ephemera piece at the bottom right corner and crown on the upper left corner. I added some Purple crystal gems and applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on the dress. See finished photo:
Open your album to the first page ( backside of front cover) I cut a piece from the Aero blue paper and cut to measure 3 & 5/8 x 4 & 1/2 inches. Glue on your page. See photo:
I cut out a Magical Fairy journal card and adhered as a pocket. I cut out one of the smaller dress cards and tucked inside my pocket. I glued acouple Little Birdie flowers on the bottom left corner.
Page 2: I cut another piece from the Aero Blue paper to measure 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 1/4 inches glue on your page. I cut a small journal card from the Graphic45 matching 8x8 paper pad from my stash, and scored a 1/2 inch on the leftside. Glue this piece on the leftside to create a flip page. You could add a photo underneath if you like. Here's acouple photos:
Pages 3 and 4: From "Woodland Sprites" paper i cut a 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 1/4 inches and glued onto page 3. From the same paper, I cut a piece to measure 3 & 1/4 x 1 & 3/8 and glued this on my pocket front. Above my pocket page I cut the fairy backside from the same paper. This piece measures 3 & 1/4 x 2 & 7/8 inches. I added a sentiment ephemera piece on the front of my pocket flap, with foam dots. On my small tag, I chose this ephemera fairy piece and cut a border piece. See photo:
I glued my border strip along the bottom edge of my tag. I applied a small butterfly rub-on on the left side. I tied some Pink jute cord through the hole on my tag. Then tag slides into your pocket! Applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on the fairy wings and dress. Here's a photo of both pages:
Page 5 & 6: I cut my papers the same sizes as we did previously. Here's the papers I chose:
On my tag, I applied this purple mushroom rub-on. I tied some purple jute cord through the hole on my tag. I glued a few crystals scattered around tge mushroom. See photo:
On opposite page 6: I cut a photo mat from cream cardstock to measure 2 & 1/2 x 3 inches, added a small photo and glued in the center of my page. I added a purple corner sticker at tge top and a ephemera rose piece at the bottom right corner. Here's a photo of my finished pages!
Pages 7& 8: I cut my coordinating papers (Enchanted Frolics and Spring Green) 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 1/4 inches. Glue onto your pages. Page 7 I cut out a small journal card and scored 1/2 inch on the left side. Glue as a flip page. You could add a photo underneath. On page 8 I added a banner sticker on the upper right corner. Page 9 & 10 : I covered both pages with Pixie Town and Posey Punk papers. Cut same size as instructed previously.
Page 9 you could add a photo here. Page 10: I added acouple flowers on the front pocket flap. At the top i glued a ephemera tiny rose. For the small tag, I cut out a small Crown card and glued towards the top. On the bottom of my tag i glued this border piece. Tied some Pink jute cord through the hole on my tag! Here's some photos!
Pages 11 & 12: I cut the Notesworthy paper and glued on both pages. On the pocket front, I cut a purple border piece from the Cover sheet in your paper pack. Glue in place. On my tag, I cut a small journal card from the 8x8 pad, and glued in place. I tied some Pink jute cord through the hole on my tag. I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on the fairies dress. On page 12, I cut a 2 & 1/2 x 3 inch photo mat from cream cardstock. Glued in the center of my page, applied a photo and a photo sticker corner on the upper right corner. I glued a few crystals on the lower right edge. Here's a photo!
Pages 13 & 14: From " Sparkle Glow" paper, I cut this paper and another journal card. See photo:
I glued patterned paper on the left side and my journal card on the right. With foam dots I adhered these ephemera shoes on the bottom left corner. Than applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on the dress and wings! Here's how my pages look:
Page 15 and 16: From the " Sprinkles & alittle Magic paper, I cut out this journal card and then cut another piece from the same paper, using the blue side. Glue in place. See photo:
On my tag, I cut a scrap piece of the same paper, round the corners and glued on my tag. See photo:
With foam dots I added an ephemera blue butterfly on top. I glued a ephemera sentiment on the pocket front along with a fussycut small mushroom i had leftover from a scrap piece. The mushroom i adhered with foam dots. I like the added dimension. I tied some blue jute cord through the hole on my tag and tucked into my pocket! Here's a photo!
Pages 17 & 18: I cut out a piece of the border sentiment strip. I glued along the bottom edge on my tag. I Fussycut a fairy/mushrooms piece. I also cut another cream photo mat, same size as before. See photo:
With foam dots I adhered my fairy image on my tag, applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on her wings and dress. I glued a few crystal gems to finish my tag! On the opposite page I glued these papers in place. I cut a piece of border strip and glued along the top edge of my pocket. See photo:
On the opposite page, I glued my photo mat in the center. Added a photo, ephemera sentiment at the bottom edge and a small fairy ephemera at the upper left corner. Here's a photo:
Pages 19 & 20: I covered both pages with the purple Fairy Boutique paper. I also cut 2 mats at 3 & 3 1/2 inches. from cream cardstock. Glued one on each page centered. From acouple journal cards i fussycut out 2 dresses, crowns shoes and 2 wings. See photo:
On each crown, I glued some purple crystals from our kit, on each of the crown points. With foam dots I adhered my dresses, crowns and shoes. I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on both fairy dresses and the set of wings. Here's a photo!
Pages 21 & 22: I cut out a purple mushroom journal card and glued on the left side. I glued 2 Little Birdie flowers on the top left corner. And some crystals.
I cut out the purple fairies paper. And glued on the right side. I cut another purple Sparkle border strip from the cover sheet and glued on my pocket flap. I glued another ephemera sentiment on the pocket front. My tag, I cut out a small journal card and glued on my tag. I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on the dress and fairy wings. I tied some purple jute cord through the hole on my tag and tucked inside my pocket! Here's some photos!
Pages 23 & 24: From the "Sprinkle Magic " paper I cut a out a border strip with the shoes and crowns. I scored between each section. See photos:
Accordian fold your border piece. See photo:
I covered both pages with the pink solid paper and patterned side. Glue above your pocket and opposite page. Icovered the pocket front flap with the pink roses scrap paper. From a scrap paper I cut and glued Believe in Magic, at the top left corner on the leftside page. I glued a ephemera butterfly on the opposite corner. I tucked the accordian strip inside my pocket.
Taking my small tag, I cut and trimmed an ephemera piece with the pink florals and Leaves, glued along the bottom edge. I cut and applied some matching Rub-on transfers from the kit. See photo:
I tied some Pink jute cord through the hole on my tag. With foam dots on the backside i adhered the tag on the right side page. Here's a photo!
Last page and back cover : I cut out another journal card and glued on the left page. Then added a touch of Stickles Stardust glitter! On the back cover, I glued a piece of Blue Fairy solid cut at 3 & 3/4 x 4 & 3/4 inches. I created a pocket using a journal card, added some Stickles Diamond glitter on the fairies wings. I tucked a small photo into the pocket keeping a part of my photo visible and glued in place. I glued a purple Little Birdie flower at the top right corner! Here's a photo!
Now we are all finished with our Mini Album! This album fits perfectly inside your Matchbox drawer! I think this kit is so adorable and fun to create with. This Matchbox will be a nice decor item on your coffee table or it would make a great gift idea!
