Elegant Greeting Cards and Heart Gift Box

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and thanks for visiting our blog today. I know Mother's Day is fast approaching as well as the wedding season. As a cardmaker, I'm always looking for different card styles to create. So today's project I'll be making 3 different styles of cards I hope you'll be able to use and like.

To create my cards I'm using the Tres Jolie May Cards Tags and More kit!

This month's kit includes some wonderful metal dies from Uniquely Creative I know you're going to love! You will be able to create all sorts of flower cluster combinations to embellish your cards and other projects! You will also receive 3 sheets of each of the colored cardstock in two different shades of green cardstock, as well as 2 shades of pink and cream. In addition, you'll get 6 double sided patterned papers from UniquelyCreativealong with a great set of sentimentstamps, ! Tres Jolie chipboard backgrounds,  https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/backgrounds a cute tiny Resin frame, white floral trim, Prima Flowers-Sunrise Sunset and Say it in Crystals pack, and Prima Chalk Ink Summer Fields. Be sure to order your kit or kits early because they sell out quickly.

From my stash, I'll be using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, foam tape/dots, Images from Graphic45 "Portait of a Lady" Prima Chalk Ink Pastel Brown, pearl gems, stamens, Copper ink gold bow, white and cream card bases, lace trims, pearl trims, Copper Ink, Stamperia "Romance Forever " washi tape stickers, chocolates, and heart box.

Card 1: For my card base, it measures 4x 6 inches.  Taking one of the 12x12 patterned papers from the kit, I cut down to 3 & 3/4 x 5 & 3/4 Inches. Ink along the edges and glue to the front of your card vertically.

Now I cut some lace trim and adhered in the center front of my card. See photo:

Next I fussycut out one of the journal cards from my G45 paper from my stash. I added foam tape on the backside before adhering in the center front of my card. See photo:

Set your card aside and remove your metal flower dies from your package. I die cut some flowers and leaves.

Assemble and glue in place at the top of your journal card image. Here's a closeup:

Taking a scrap piece of cream cardstock and one of the sentiment stamps in your kit, I stamped my sentiment and adhered at the bottom edge of my journal card. Then I glued a few pearl gems in scattered areas on my card. Here's my finished card:

Card 2: We'll be making a Slimline cream card that measures 9x 8 inches, score at 4" fold and crease. I covered the front of my card with the striped patterned paper from the kit. It measures 8 & 3/4 x 3 & 3/4 inches.

Next I cut out and trimmed this journal card image, adhered to my card front using foam dots. I glued another piece of lace trim on the left side of my card. See photo:

Taking a frame die from my stash, I diecut an Oval shape. Then taking the Happy Birthday stamp sentiment from the kit, I stamped the sentiment onto my diecut Oval shape using copper ink from my stash. See photo:

I applied some foam dots onto the back of my sentiment piece and adhered on the right side of my card. I glued one of the gold Prima flowers from the kit on the bottom edge of my stamped sentiment. On the upper left corner on my journal card, I glued another Prima flower, small white rose and stamens from my stash in place. I tucked some diecut leaves behind my gold rose. I applied a few Prima Say it in Crystals onto my lace trim. I also applied a tiny gold Dazzle sticker on the gal's collar of her dress. Here's acouple photos:

 Card 3: Hidden Tag Card:

I took my cream card base 5 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/4 inches. Fold and crease. Now take another patterned paper from your kit, cut to measure 5 & 1/4 x 4 inches. Adhere to the front of your card base.

I cut out the  journal card above and glued on 3 sides to form a pocket,  towards the right side. Next I took a small tag from my stash,

and trimmed it down slightly so it will slide into my pocket on my card. I rounded the edges and inked them. I glued another small journal card on the front of my tag and stamped another sentiment on the back of my tag.

I glued a gold bow over top of the hole on my tag. Take some of the white floral trim from your kit, I cut apart 3 pieces and glued on the left side of my card. I applied some of the Prima Say it in Crystals on top of each floral trim.

Here's a photo:

My finished card with the tag inside:

 Gift Box:

I purchased this heart gift box at my local craft store. I diecut several flowers and leaves and assembled and glued together. Set aside.

From my patterned papers in the kit, I traced around the heart box and cut out 3 pieces to glue inside my box, inside cover and front cover. Using my xaco knife I trimmed away any excess paper before gluing in place.

Using several metal dies from our card kit, I diecut from the colored cardstock in our kit. I cut out acouple small journal cards from my G45 paper stash.

On the bottom heart box, I applied some Prima Chalk Ink Pastel Brown and dried with my heat tool. See photo:

Inside cover: I glued another small journal card and applied some pearl trim around the inside. See photo:

I applied some Washi tape stickers on the outside edge of my box as well as some lace trim along the top edge of my box cover  See photo:

Now arrange and glue your diecut flowers and small journal card onto the front cover of your box. I applied another sentiment rubon from my stash along the bottom. Here's a closeup look:

Now your box is ready to fill with your favorite treats your recipient would love! I added chocolates since my friend is a fan of chocolate! Here's a photo:
