Easter Slimline Cards
Happy April Crafty Friends!! Jeanne back this brand new week in a brand new month and I'm excited to share my latest project I created using the April Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie!
I had some Easter themed chipboard pieces from Tres Jolie from last year and so I figured I would create these Handmade Slimline Cards and Envelopes.
Here are my cards:
On all of my cards I used Ivory Cardstock for my base and then I used some Textured Cardstock from American Crafts. Next , on each of the cards I cut a different pattern paper from the First Kiss 12x2 Paper pack from Paper Heaven. Before I started embellishing the cards I did use a stamp from Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiment set on the inside of the card.
I had previously painted each of the Easter themed chipboard pieces using a sponge brush. For the first card (above) I used Folk Art Vintage White Acrylic Paint, on the next two (below) I used the Finnabair Paints that were included in the April Mixed Media Kits ( Ginger Magic and Fairy Wings).
Next I fussy cut quite a few flowers from the smaller papers from the Scrapbook Kit. Before I adhered them, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Dried Marigold and from this months Cards, Tags, and More Kit the Memento Bamboo Leaves Ink. Then I adhered some of them using foam dots and others with Beacon Fabri Tac.
Lastly I added some of the small flowers from the 49 and Market package from the kit as well as some of the Wishing Bubbles and Baubles packet.
Now onto the envelopes, I used the same Textured Card Stock from American Crafts. I used stamps from the same set from Graphic 45. I did mess up on the orange one however, I used the Dried Marigold Distress Ink so you can't see it very well.
Lastly I added some beautiful laces from Lavish Laces on the envelopes.
So there you have it Crafty Friends! I hope that you like what I created this week using the Scrapbook Kit as well as some items from this month's Card and Mixed Media Kits. I hope these inspire you to create some handmade cards.
