DIY Fall Altered Cutting Boards

Hi all my crafty friends,

It's Debbie here today with a fun Fall project using the Tres Jolie's November Scrapbook Kit along with the remaining items I have from the Card, Tag and More Kit from this month. I have the step by step tutorial down below for you as well as the video.

To get started here is what we will be using. These little cutting boards I did get from Walmart but we will be using the Scrapbook Kit to alter them.

To start off you will trace each one of the cutting boards onto the pattern paper of your choice. You will do this for all of them.

I traced out all of my cutting boards first and then cut all of them out.
I used mod podge to adhere the cut outs to all the cutting boards.
Once you adhere be sure to burnish down really well, and trim any excess paper hanging over the edges. To get the paper edges smooth I used a finger nail file to rub all around the cutting board. Do this for all the cutting board pieces.

For this first one I used the rub-ons from the Card, Tag and More Kit

For the second cutting board I decided to paint the edges to add some color. it is a but larger again trace it on the your pattern paper, and cut

Next Add Mod Podge to the top of the cutting board. I did this for all the cutting boards when adhering my pattern paper on top.

Adhere your pattern paper on top of the cutting board.
Next I took one of the extra corner pieces from the Card, Tag and More Kit, and placed glue on top first and then sprinkled glitter on it.

I adhered the glittered corner piece in left hand corner and decorated the around the pattern paper with a few of images I fussy cut out from the cut apart pages inside the Scrapbook Kit. That little fox was just so adorable I had to use him, along with the leaves and flowers. The sentiment is from my stash.
For this piece I used a chipboard frame from my stash and turned it into a shaker with a cute scenery behind it. The scenery is from the cut apart cards from the collection. I then adhered a couple of flowers from the Scrapbook Kit and fussy cut one of the pumpkins from the cut apart sheet. The sentiment is from my stash.
Here is photo of the cutting board covered with the wooden paper from the paper and the cut apart showing the scenery that is behind the shaker. I did add double foam tape around the oval fram.

For the last cutting board I used the wooden tree from the Scrapbook Kit and sprayed with Distress Mica Stain Specimen that came in the October Mixed Media Kit.
I sprayed about 3 coats on and set aside to dry for a few minutes.

This chipboard word Blessed comes from the Tres Jolie shop I have it linked here for you. I did paint it and then I sprinkled with glitter which is the glitter I used on the corner piece for cutting board #2.  I have a finished photo below.
This turned out so cut as I love the little bunny and pumpkins that I fussy cut out from the paper collection inside the Scrapbook Kit. The chipboard word Blessed really adds a lovely touch a it rests between the tree.

Here is a photo of all 4 of the altered cutting boards.

I hope you liked todays project and found from inspiration in using the November Scrapbook Kit for any of your Fall projects.
Thanks for joining me and Happy Crafting
Debbie
