Creating A Easel Drawer Card

HI Crafty Friends! Today I'm excited to share with you what I've creating using this months Card, Tags, & More Kit from Tres Jolie! This kit is absolutely beautiful and as you have seen Dana and Crystals beautiful handmade cards, there are so many ways to use this collection. So I thought I would create one of my favorite cards, the Easel Drawer Card, which I have in the past shared with you all how to create this handmade card. I actually used a tutorial that I have used in the past from a talented Youtuber, you can find that here.
Here is what I have created and if you would like to learn how, then follow along with my photo tutorial. I do hope I can make it easy for you. So here we go!
We will begin with the base, so you will need the card stock of your choice, we will begin with the drawer of the card. You will cut your card stock at 6 1/8 X 6 1/8, then score that 1 inch on all 4 sides. Make sure you use you score tool over those edges. Then you are going to cut along , as you see on my photo. To adhere them together, you can use any glue you have, I used double sided glue just for time sakes. Once you have finished with that, set it aside for a bit.

Now you are going to create the sleeve for the drawer, you will cut a piece of card stock 4 1/2 X 11in. then score @ 1in, 5 1/4, 6 1/4, 10 1/2
Once you have scored and folded all of your lines, you will apply some glue or double sided tape to the edge.

The next one you will work on is the Easel , you need a piece of card stock cut at 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 score @ 4 1/4 and @ 6 3/8

For the final piece which is the card face, you just need a piece of card stock cut at 4 1/4 X 4 1/4.
I then started of add the paper from the card kit from The Paper Boutique on all of the pieces and putting the card together I did cut all of the papers 1/8th smaller than the card stock I inked all of the paper with the ink from the kit which I absolutely love.

Once I had all the paper adhered, I added double sided tape to the sentiment and added it to the card face which I had adhered to the easel. On the base of the easel, you adhere it directly on top of the sleeve of the drawer.
As you can see in my photos how I did that. On the tope of the easel, I cut and added a 1/2 in piece of the paper where the card face can hold upright.
I then added a piece of lace and a Prima Marketing flower from a previous kit. On the drawer, I added a half back pearl as a drawer pull decor.
I do hope this was easy for you to follow. There is also the video tutorial that I follow as I mentioned. I really like the simplicity of this card which I hope you like as well.
If you happen to give this project a try, please share with us on our Facebook page. Until next week my friends! Be safe and Happy Crafting!!
