Cozy Christmas Vignettes Home Decor Display

Hello Craft Friends!

It's Dana here. I love decorating my home for the holidays don't you? What's your favorite decoration? I love setting up the tree and decorating every room in my house.

Today I'll be creating a Christmas Home Decor project I hope you'll enjoy. I'm using the November Scrapbook kit from Tres Jolie Kit Club. I'll also be using some items in my craft stash. I'll explain as i go along.

First off this month's kit has such beautiful festive 12x12 papers from 3Quarter Designs, called Xmas Magic. The papers are double sided and you get 10 total. There are also 2 bonus sheets, photo mats and diecuts you can punchout and use on layouts, cards and albums. You'll also get Tres Jolie Chipboard Angels and vines and berries Chipboard, and Little Birdie flowers Denny Scarlett and Amelia Shabby Chic Bouquet.

For the base of my project I'm using one long box, 3 different sizes Vignettes boxes from Tim Holtz idea-ology. One large and small rectangular box and 1 square.

In addition I'm using Fake Snow, Gold Tinsel Trims, 3 Snowflake buttons, 3 presents, Green and Red TinselEmbossingpowders, and small Christmas tree.

To start our project, I took the 12x12 Snowflake Wood grain paper and cut and covered the top long base, and sides of my little boxes. Here are my measurements:

Bottom base: 11 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2  see photo:

long sides cut 2- 12 x 1 & 1/4, short sides cut 2 -5 & 7/8 x 1 & 1/4. See Photo:

Large box- 5 & 1/2 x 1 & 1/2

Square Box i covered only 2 outer sides at 4 & 1 & 1/8

Small rectangular box- cover top 4 x 2&  5/8

See photos:

Now we Can attach all our Vignettes boxes together including gluing to our wood base. I recommend using a strong adhesive like Beacon glue. Set aside to dry.

We will cut out some papers to fit inside some of our boxes, as well as covering the backsides of each Vignettes box. I chose to use the snowy papers to cover the inside of my long box on the left as well as the center box. The smaller box on the right, I cut the Santa journal card to fit inside. Using Foam dots i adhered my fussycut Red door to the rectangled box on the left. I glued a wreath i had in my stash onto the front door. See photo:

On the backside, I cut and covered the wood panels with the Snowglobe paper. See photo:

Set aside and we will work on our Tres Jolie Chipboard pieces. Take one of the chipboard angels and apply some Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled over the top Gold Embossing powder. Heat emboss. Here's a photo:

Take your Vines/Berries Chipboard and i cut apart several pieces to fit On both outer sides of my box. I applied some Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled some Green and Red Embossing powers and heat emboss all pieces. See photo:

Set these aside. Next I did fussycut out the image with the fireplace, gray door, gingerbread men from journal card and element sheet, ornament/Poinsetta. I chose some punchout diecut pieces. See photo:

Now we can start adding our embellishments, fussycuts and More.

Box on left: I applied some Aleenes Fake Snow on the top of my Red door and along the bottom i applied some Liquid pearls Rouge (my stash) to the berries on the wreath. I glued a gold present on the top of my box at an angle. Here's some photos:

Center box: With foam dots I adhered the fireplace image in place. I glued a green present on the top. Here's a photo:

Box on Right (Santa) i glued a Little Birdie Red flower in the inside corner.  I glued a Red present at the top. On the bottom right edge I glued another Little Birdie white Poinsetta flower. I added a small Christmas tree and applied some Stickles glitters- Christmas Red, Holly and Gold (all from my stash) to the Christmas tree to resemble ornaments! My finished photo:

Backside on left: with foam dots i added the Christmas tree punchout and presents. I glued the white smaller Poinsetta flower on the top of my Christmas tree. I added a gold gem (stash)in the center.  See photo:

The center box: With foam dots I adhered the gray door, and gingerbread man. I applied some fake snow along the bottom edge. See photo:

The last box on the right,  I glued my Tres Jolie gold Angel chipboard piece. With foam dots, I added the ornament fussycut and Stocking punchout. Here's a closeup look:

To finish, I cut 2 different border strips with sentiments and glued one on the front and back sides. I glued some gold Tinsel stems all along the edge of my base. See photo:

I glued 3 Snowflake buttons on one side and applied some fake snow in one corner. From my stash, I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter to Santa's beard. I attached 4 metal feet on each corner on the bottom base. Let dry overnight. Here's some photos:
