"Cottage Life " Purse Folio
Hi Crafty Friends! Jeanne back here this week to share with you my project for this week. I decided I would create with this month's Cards, Tags, & More!
As you all probably have seen our designer Crystal has created her first project this month using this kit as well. Hers is absolutely beautiful and I love how she gave it more of a vintage/aged look, which I love! So I thought I would create mine with a much more simple, clean appearance. Also I hope you will check out how Crystal created hers here.
This kit is so easy to put together and add your style to it! Okay here we go!
I absolutely am in love with this Graphic 45 "Cottage Life" collection and It went well with this folio kit from Photo Play Paper Co. it includes step by step instructions with the pieces made with some amazing card stock that is very strong yet easy to create with.
While I love the original design of it , I just thought I would do a few changes to mine. I really just changed the orientation of it and I left a couple of the pockets out. I did this only because I wanted to have room mainly for photo mats.
I wanted to make this for memory keeping of course because that is one of the reasons I love to paper craft. So as I've mentioned it has plenty of photo mats of a variety of sizes. I did add some tags also. Also on those mats I did use an adorable camera cling stamp with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet and Broken China Distress Inks. On a couple of the pockets, I did use a floral edge punch for added design.
I was actually pretty happy that this folio had the wide spine edges because mine got pretty chunky with the flowers, chipboard from the Graphic 45 chipboard ephemera packet, some that I did add foam dots to for a little dimension.
I used most of the 8x8 paper pad on this folio including the cut out sheets with the tags, boarders, and beautiful sentiments. I try to use everything I can from these paper pads. I do still have enough left for a handmade card or two. This would be a wonderful gift for a sisters birthday, daughter's, mother's or just for anyone who might love this soft, dainty color palette. I will be giving mine to my sister for her upcoming birthday! I will be adding photos to it and few blank so she can add hers as well.
This folio can be created in a variety of ways, styles, etc... I hope that you will run over to Tres Jolie Kits and grab yours! If you do, I hope you will share what you have created over on our Tres Jolie Facebook Page!
I do hope you enjoyed my post today and I truly hope that I have sprinkled a little of inspiration your way! I will be back again next week or maybe sooner ....
