Coptic Bound Journal - January 2022 Cards, Tags, & More Kit
Hey, all! Welcome to 2022 and the Tres Jolie Blog!
For my first project of the year, I have a Coptic Bound Journal for you. I used “resume” paper, some size 5 DMC Perle Cotton Cotton, and tools & adhesive from my stash -- along with the papers and chipboard from the kit -- to create this journal.
Check out my video to see how I put mine together!

On the inside of the front and back covers I added some of the scraps from the lined paper I printed and some stickers from the Simple Stories sheet found in the kit. On the front of the first signature I added the “Learn To Fly” square from the Craft O’Clock “bonus” sheet and drew on some faux stitching.
The Simple Stories paper I added on the outside of the back cover.
Here are the measurements for where I poked my holes – where the lines intersect. The measurements are in inches, and the space between the horizontal lines.**The vertical line is 3/8” in from the left edge.**
For my journal, I made six signatures. The cover of each signature is a piece of the Simple Stories paper, scored 2-1/4”, then filled with some of my printed lined paper! I printed the lines on bother sides of the paper, but I didn’t use the same print for each side! I was lucky enough to find a monochrome laser printer for $35 in the clearance isle one day, so that is what I used. InkJet printers will work just as well—just remember the ink isn’t permanent! (Unless you have a fancy pigment ink printer!) After my journal was all together, I went through and randomly added some stickers from the Simple Stories Cardstock Sticker sheet.

Be careful when you are doing your binding! I was so worried about it being too loose, I made it too tight! But my journal still opens and lays flat like it should!
