Collect Beautiful Moments Canvas

Happy Thursday y'all!!  Michelle here and I'm ready to get some mixed media on!  You may remember I used one of the mini canvases from this month's mixed media kit to make the cover for a sweet little junk journal.  Now you get to see what I did with the other mini canvas!

I liked one of the techniques I used on that project so much that I used it on this project as well.  I didn't take pictures during this process but I'll walk you through it.

For the background, I used the Tim Holtz Texture paste and mixed in the black soot Distress Oxide Spray before spreading it over the canvas with my pallet knife.  Allow this step to dry (dry with a drying tool or heat tool if needed).

Next I painted the center of the Prima flowers with a bit of clear gesso and sprinkled some of the Gary M. Burlin Co. Embossing Powder in Patina Bronzed Copper, sprinkled off the excess then immediately heated it with my heat tool.

I then applied small dew drops and veins to the flowers with the Nuvo Vintage Drops in the Pumice Stone color.

After the flowers had all dried well I layered them and glued them all down in the position I liked, adding in a Tim Holtz chipboard phrase.

I finished it up with a bit of shine by rubbing the whole thing with some gold metallic wax and inked the edges with a black ink pad.

That's all I got guy!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you're inspired to create something beautiful today!
