"Winter Wonderland" Layout Mood Board Challenge

Happy 2023 Crafty Friends!! Jeanne here with a brand new project and my first project of the year! This month's Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie is a beautiful collection from 3 Quarter Designs "Christmas Wonderland".  

This layout features my little beauties, my granddaughters Jaelynne & Devynne wearing matching Christmas pajamas. The moment I got this photo I knew it would be perfect to use with this collection and perfect for this month's Mood Board Challenge. 

To create this layout I began by applying a layer of clear gesso, dried it using my heat tool then adhered it onto a 12x12 sheet of chipboard. I then took the chipboard designs from Tres Jolie from last month's kit, I cut the chipboard design in half, applied some Finnabair Black Gesso using a sponge brush. Once dry I sprayed some Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray (Faded Jeans) . I then set those aside to air dry. Next I layered my photo using blue then white card stock. 

Next I adhered my photo with foam tape then adhered it. I picked out some ephemera I wanted to use. Before adding the flowers I adhered on some of the Brutus Monroe Fabulous Fibers (Frosted Halo), then adhered on the beautiful flowers from Little Birdie Crafts and 49 and Market. I had some small black flowers from my stash. 

 

I then added the chipboard pieces then added some left over Enamel Dots from Craft Consortium. I added the super cute gingerbread house, the "Holly Berries"  gingerbread man ephemera pieces using foam dots. 

I have a small dish where I have bits and pieces of metal pieces and I came across the metal corners that were also from a previous kit. I adhered them onto two corners of the photo. 

I decided I wanted to add a little sparkle so I thought I would try these Cosmic Shimmers Pixie Powders (Golden Marble) , this is from this month's Mixed Media kit. I sprayed water onto the areas I wanted to add these powders. On the tree I brushed the water then sprinkled them onto it.

 

I didn't want to add too much to this layout since it already comes with beautiful designs on it. So I kept it a little simple. I really enjoyed creating this layout and I'm excited for the projects I will be sharing with you this month.
