Christmas Balls and Chipboard Tags

Hello Craft Friends!

So happy you're here. Today I'll be creating some Christmas ornament Balls and 2 Chipboard Tags. To create my project, I'll be using the Tres Jolie Mixed Media kit!

This month’s mixed media kit has some fun products to try out and play with. You'll receive 2 Ranger Distress Mica Stains in Peppermint Stick and Holly Branch. These are the perfect go to for all your holiday projects! You will also receive Ranger Distress Collage papers, Perfect Pearls- Perfect Pearl powder, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collage papers and Little Birdie flowers. Here's a photo of this month's kit:

From my stash I will be using Fake snow, Clear Ornaments-3 which i purchased at my craft store, ribbon, foam dots, Distress Collage medium, paintbrush, gold glitter, Glitter snow paste, pallette knife, Tim Holtz Rock Candy glitter!

We will create our Ornament balls first. To begin take your ornament ball and chose one of the Collage papers of your choice. I chose the Holly one. I carefully tore acouple pieces. See photo:

Then with my paintbrush, I applied some Collage medium and played my Collage image over top. You can smooth out any wrinkles with your finger. Repeat on the other side. See photos:

Let dry. If you dry with your heat tool don't place too closely. Next using a palette knife I applied some Textured glitter snow paste around my Collage image.

While my paste is still wet, I sprinkled some gold glitter on top. Let dry. Repeat on the backside. Remove the top hanger, and add some fake Snowflakes inside your ornament ball. Then insert your ornament hanger back in place. Repeat this step for the other 2 ornaments.

Then I took one of the Little Birdie white berries in the kit, and snipped off one piece and 2 of the green leaves. I took some Distress Mica Stain Peppermint and applied over top of each white berry. with a paintbrush. Let dry. Then glue your berries and leaves at the top. Here's a closeup photo!

Ornament #2- From one of the Collage papers I cut out the postcard/25 image and Season Greetings sentiment. Take your Collage medium and apply your Collage papers as we did previously onto both sides of your ornament. Here's a photo:

Then I applied some Textured glitter snow paste on both sides of my ornament. Let dry. Then I applied some of the mica stain peppermint on my berries, and after they are dry glue at the top of your ornament hanger, as before. Add a red bow to finish. Here's a photo:

Ornament #3: I applied some Collage papers on the front and backside. Then taking a slightly wet paintbrush i applied some Distress Mica Stain Holly Branch over top of my Collage paper.

Then with my pallet knife I applied some Textured glitter snow paste. Let dry.

Glue some berries at the top and added a red bow! See my finished photo:

Now we can create our 2 Tres Jolie Chipboard Tags.

Tag #1: I took and cut a cardboard box so I would not get my desk messy when spraying my Distress Mica Stain. I sprayed both sides of my chipboard tag with Distress Mica Stain Holly Branch. See photo:

Next I chose a Collage paper with leaves and applied a thin coat of Distress Collage medium over my chipboard tag. See photo:

Then apply your Collage paper over top. Smooth out any wrinkles with your finger. Let dry.

I took a small Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper doll and with foam dots I adhered along t he bottom left edge. Taking my Distress Crayon- Rusty Hinge from my stash, I colored her hat and coat. See photo:

Next I thread some gold trim and tied into a bow through the hole on my tag. Then added a red Little birdie flower on top. Here's acouple closeups!

Tag #2: I sprayed the front and back of my Tres Jolie chipboard tag using  the Distress Mica Stain Peppermint in your kit. Let dry.

Next I applied the Collage medium over top of my tag and added the Collage paper with the church window. See photo:

While your tag is drying, I took a Tres Jolie chipboard Angel from a previous kit, you can find the Angel and all the other Christmas chipboards available in the shop below: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/holidays

I took my Distress Mica Stain Holly Branch and sprayed over the top of my chipboard Angel. Let dry.

Then I glued some crystal gems from a previous Tres Jolie Kit, on all the points on my Angel wings and body. Then with foam dots, I adhered her onto my tag.

Then I added some Dresden Gold trim along the top and bottom edges on my tag. I tied some ribbon through the hole on my tag and glued some white berries on top! Here's acouple photos of my tag:

Now we are finished with this project for today. I hope you will order your kit and start creating your own Babbles and Tags. These chipboard tags would be great to tie onto a gift or add as a special surprise this Christmas.
