Welcome Craft Friends!

Thank you for stopping by the Tres Jolie blog! Today I have another project to share using the March Tres Jolie Scrapbook kit!

This Scrapbook kit features 12x12 papers from Memory Place "Cherished Elegance " collection. There are 2 extra element sheets to fussycut on one side as well as sentiment words to adorn your scrapbook layouts! In addition you'll receive Prima Gold Trims, and flowers, Memory Hardware Antique Cloches, and Tres Jolie Chipboard Keys https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/miscellaneous

Here's a closeup look at this month's kit:

Isn't to gorgeous? From my crafty stash, I'll be inking all my papers, ephemera and fussycut images using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, xaco knife, score board, adhesive tape, foam dots, stapler, Stickles Glitter Diamond, Distress tool, Finnibair Metallic Wax in Aged Brass.

To begin our project I cut out the brown album cover page from the " Timeless" 12x12 paper.

Score at 6" and fold and crease. Set aside for now.

Next I cut 4 different papers to measure 6x8 inches. Scored at 3 inches. Fold and crease. Repeat this step for all 4 papers. This will create your flip book pages.

I glued two of the papers together to form side pockets.

The other two, I just creased and folded on the score lines.

Take the paper with the Cherub and cut to measure 12x8 inches. Score at 6 inches and fold. Score 1/2 inch in the center on both sides. Fold. Apply adhesive tape or glue, between the two 1/2 inch scored lines. Adhere to the center of  your brown album cover.

Stack and glue all your small flip pages including the ones with the pockets, along the center left side of your album.  Here's a closeup:

I cut out 2 of the matching metal paper brackets see photo:

For the front of my album cover, I cut out the metal bracket with the pink rose, added foam dots to the back and adhered at the top of my front cover. I fussycut the matching heart/rose image and adhered withfoam dots. I trimmed off a portion of the border strip with the Title sentiment and then glued this below the heart. Then glued the matching metal brackets on my outside cover.

Now we're ready to start decorating our album pages and flip book insert.

Back of front cover: I fussycut out the Roses border, Love, sentiment, white frame, white Roses and two doves, from one of the Journaling cards. Using a diecut frame from my stash I diecut a center piece from a scrap paper.

I glued this behind my frame. Then adhered my frame using foam dots. I applied foam dots to the back of my two doves and white roses. I arranged them around the bottom edge of my frame. I glued my "Love" sentiment on the lower right corner. With foam dots, I adhered the Pink roses border piece on the bottom left corner. I took the Forever ephemera sentiment and adhered at the top with foam dots.

Page 2: Taking another journal card, I scored 1/2 inch at the top. Using a Distress tool i distressed around the edges to give it a worn and tattered look. Then I  adhered as a flip up card.i added a photo and one of the fussycut sentiment below my photo. At the top I glued a Prima flower from the kit, cut a piece of gold trim and glued at the top right corner. I added a fussycut sentiment "Blessed " on top.

Here's acouple photos:

Page 3: I took a leftover scrap paper and cut to measure 6 x 4 &1/2 inches. Fold in half.

Taking my corner rounder (my stash) I rounded both top corners. Taking another small die I  diecut a small tab.

I fussycut the rose/feather fussycut image and glued to the frontside of my file folder. I tucked acouple journal cards inside and added a paperclip to secure them in place.  I glued this on the top inside edge of my file folder. Then using foam dots I adhered a paperdoll couple inside. I adhered one of the ephemera sentiments at the top of my page, using foam dots. And fussycut out the teacup image from the elements sheet. Then adhered over the top of the matching teacup image with foam dots.

Page 4: Take one of the Tres Jolie Chipboard Keys. I applied some Prima Finnibair Metallic Wax in "Aged Brass" to the top surface of my chipboard key.

Then I glued acouple Prima crystals on my chipboard key. Both the Metallic Wax and crystals were from my crafty stash. I fussycut one of the frames and glued a photo behind. Then glued towards the bottom of my page. I glued the chipboard key at an angle over the bottom of my fframe.i cut out the small tag from my element sheet, punched a hole at the top. Then tied a jute cord through the hole on my tag and glued at the top of my page.

Here's a closeup look:

Page 5: From the "Cherished Elegance " paper I cut out two of journal cards leaving both the Cherub and gold key cards intact.

I folded in half and tucked inside a vellum envelope I had in my stash. I glued the vellum envelope to the page. I applied some matching washi tape (from my stash) at the top and a fussycut sentiment at the bottom edge.

Page 6: I created a flip page using a small journal card that I scored 1/2 inch on the left edge. Then glued in place on my page.i applied some more washi tape along the top right corner.

Here's my finished pages:

Page 7: (inside flip page folder: I cut a 12 x 4 inch piece of "Exquisite " paper and scored at 3, 6, and 9 inches. Fold and crease.

Taking a paper clip from my stash, I secured it closed. And  glued the bottom flap to my page.

The adjoining small flip flap I tucked a journal card inside the side pocket, glued a small photo, tiny butterfly and sentiment to my page.

Here's a closeup look:

Page 8: I inked a ephemera floral border piece and adhered with foam dots at the top corner. On the adjoining flap page, I snipped off a pink flower and leaves from the Prima flower stems, in your kit. I glued to the right flap and added a small sentiment over the flower stem. Then glued a paperdoll at the bottom. Here's a photo:

Page 9: I took 3 Journaling cards and scored 1/inch at the top of each card and adhered to my page waterfalled. The right flap I glued another Prima flower from the kit, a fussycut butterfly and sentiment above my flower. Using a Clear Sparkle pen, I applied to the butterfly wings. I tucked another journal card onto my side pocket. Here's the how my finished page looks:

Last page: I fussycut a ticket from the element sheet and stapled it and glued at the top. Taking a Prima With Love heart flower (from this month's Card kit) I applied some Distress Ink over the petals lightly and glued in place. I added a photo and sentiment.

Now our Flip book is finished! I hope you'll try making one for yourself or as a gift.
