Challenge inspiration with Kim
Happy Monday guys, Kim here. Today I am here to share my first project of the new year. For the past few weeks (months) I've been so busy working on the new website and chipboard roll out, that I haven't had a chance to scrap.
So happy to be sharing this this layout created with the January scrapbook kit. This kit is so my jam. It's so pink and pretty and feminine. If you haven't seen it, here it is:

I really enjoyed creating this layout. The papers are so nice I had trouble deciding which ones I wanted to use. I finally decided to stop trying to save the prettiest sheets for the perfect photo and just use them.
How about some close ups:
Here is one of my floral clusters. The white and light pink flowers are from my stash. The chipboard is from the store and can be found here and here. I used some chunky aged embossing enamel on the chipboard.
Here you can see a few more pieces of chipboard I used. One is a border that I cut into 2 pieces. The other is here. I used the same embossing enamel on all the chippies. Heat embossing is one of my favorite techniques for chipboard. You can also, see the paper distressing that I did.
Here you see the other piece of the border that I cut in 2. I added some flowers from my stash and a small resin key. If you look closely you can see some art stones and micro beads. this are from the January mixed media kit. I love it when you can mix and match our products. Tres Jolie has always hosted a monthly sketch or mood board challenge. For the new year we are changing up our challenges. We will continue to provide a “mood board” or sketch, it’s just that the rules are changing. We want to include our laser-cut chipboard in the challenge. So, with that being said, here are the new rules.

*You MUST say what you were inspired by.
*You MUST include the twist in your design.
*We would love to see you USE AT LEAST 1 OF Tres Jolie's products on your projects but it isn’t required to play along.
