"Bonjour " Embroidery Hoop Decor Project

Hi Craft Friends!

So happy you're here! Today Im going to be creating a Decor project using the Beautiful May Tres Jolie Scrapbook kit! This month's kit features Tonic Studios "Vintage Vignettes " Luxury papers, all doublesided and heavy 200GSM) weight. A sheet with fussycut elements to adore all your layouts and other projects! In addition you'll also receive 2 lace trim pieces, Tres Jolie Chipboard Roses, Butterflies and Leaves, Prima Marketing Ephemera Frames "Return to Wonderland" -40 pieces, Little Birdie flowers 2 packs! Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit:

Be sure to order your kit today! They do tend to sell out quickly.

To create this project, I will be using a 12x12 size Embroidery Hoop! See photo:

Also from my stash I am using: Martha Stewart Tourmaline Embossing glitter, Nuvo Chocolate Fondue Crystal Drops, white bow, Prima Marketing crystals, Copper ink, Luna Paste Moonlight Pearl, Ranger Distress Collage medium and Rock Candy glitter, Folkart Baby Pink Acrylic paint and foam dots.

To start my project, I chose a patterned paper from the kit and traced around the outside edge. Cut out and glue your paper to the backside of your Embroidery hoop.

Using an x-acto knife from my stash, I trimmed away any excess paper from around my Embroidery Hoop. See photo:

Here's how my Embroidery Hoop looks after trimming.

Next taking some Folkart Baby Pink Acrylic paint I applied on the top, inside and outside edges of my Embroidery Hoop.Let dry.

Set your Hoop aside for now. Take out your Tres Jolie Chipboard Butterfly and Leaves pieces. (1 of each)

On the butterfly body I applied some Copper ink. On the butterfly wings I applied some Clear Versamark ink (my stash) then sprinkled my Martha Stewart Tourmaline Embossing glitter over the top. Then heat emboss. See photo:

On the butterfly antennas I applied onto each end and drop of  Nuvo Chocolate Fondue Crystal Drops. Set aside to dry.

On the Tres Jolie chipboard Leaves ink painted the leaves with Smooch inks Green apple(my stash) and let dry. I left the branches and Swirls as is. See photo:

Now we can start gathering our Embellishments for our Embroidery Hoop. I love using a variety of different items. I chose one of the Ephemera Frames and glued a small photo behind my frame. I chose a vintage photo to match the theme of this paper collection. See photo:

I chose some of the flowers from the Scrapbook kit. I also decided to add some white pearls ( from my stash) and glue around the inside edge of my Embroidery Hoop. See photo:

Now I can start planning out the placement of all my chipboard pieces and flowers. Once you have everything set in place you can start gluing everything on place.

I glued my Chipboard butterfly to the upper right corner on Embroidery Hoop using foam dots on the backside. This adds somedimension. I added a Prima crystal above my chipboard butterfly! See photo:

Taking my photo frame, I added foam tape to the backside and adhered at the bottom edge. I trimmed acouple wires from the 3  Little Birdie roses in one of the flower packs. I glued them in a cluster of 3 at the bottom right corner on my ephemera frame. Here is a photo:

Take your Tres Jolie Chipboard Leaves and glue at the bottom left edge. I glued acouple Little Birdie flowers from the kit on my chipboard leaves piece. The taking some Luna Paste Moonlight Pearl i applied alittle onto my rose petals! I tucked some small pearls in between my rose petal flower! Then I glued some Prima crystals scattered about .See photo:

To finish my project, I took some Ranger Distress Collage Medium and applied some all around the top edge of my Embroidery Hoop. Then sprinkled some Ranger Rock Candy glitter over top. This adds a nice sparklely effect! See photos:

The last thing to add is a white ribbon bow and I glued at the top of my Embroidery Hoop! Now it's all finished and ready to hang and display! I think this would also make a great gift idea. Here's a closeup look at my finished Decor piece!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thanks for visiting our Tres Jolie blog! I hope you will grab a kit or two and start crafting your own Masterpiece!

Look for more project inspiration from our Design Team! You don't want to miss it. I'll be back next week to share another project to hopefully inspire you!

Until then, Happy Crafting!
