Best Day Every Scrapbook Layout Framed

Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. Today I have a fun scrapbook layout using the July Scrapbook Club Kit. This page is so special because its for my daughter and son in-law as they are expecting their first baby next year. Our family is super excited. With that being said, let's begin this fun layout that you can place in a frame, I used an 8x10 frame but you can use a larger frame.

I also have a video for you to view for more details on how to complete this beautiful scrapbook layout with a frame.

To begin you are gonna need a sheet of pattern paper, a 2 x12 inch strip, 1 1/4 x 12 strip and a circle 6 inches in diameter.
Next create a rosette cut a strip that is 1 1/2 x 12, lay the strip with the 12 inches across your score board and score every quarter inch. It will look like the picture below.
Adhere ends together and press down in the middle the rosette will fan out. Adhere a circle to the back and hold for a bit to let dry.
Let's start our page. First we will use clear gesso brushed all over the page. I used TCW clear gesso.
After we let the gesso dry. I used the Botanical Stain Black Bean from the mixed media club kit this month. I sprayed this on using a spray bottle I had in my stash. I let this dry for a bit and inked edges on my ephemera.
Next laydown you black circle first, cut about 2 inches of the bottom of your strip we use this as a little flag on the side of the large ephemera piece on the right side.  Next adhere the 2x12 inch strip then lay down the large ephemera pieces.
Next we add our photos. For this I chose a small ephemera piece with a paper clipboard like the large one in the photo above. I decided to use an xacto knife to cut along the clip portion of the ephemera (please view tutorial for more details)
I also did the same thing with the large ephemera piece that is laid down on the page. (photos below)
Now if you adhere the large clipboard paper ephemera piece on you can still cut the around the paper clip portion but it take a bit of time as you will cutting through 3 layers of paper as I did.
Once you are done you can slide your photos underneath each piece.
I decided to add the rub on's on the scrapbook page. I think it was a nice addition to have the butterflies on the page. I added rub on's throughout the page. (please view tutorial)
Next I added the chipboard film strip to the photo with the sonogram photos and it fit perfectly. I did cut the film strip down as I only needed 3 of the squares.

After this I added some flowers to the left side and started planning where the rest of my items would go.
As you can see on the bottom under the photo with the boots and sonogram photos I laid down the view master circle ephemera and used the rub on's to spell "mom and da" later I penned in the other "d".
Next I added one of the larger camera's next to my daughter's photo and topped it with the beautiful colored flowers from little birdie that are in the kit.
Next I adhered the rosette tucked a little under the flowers and placed the chipboard clock just resting on the rosette a bit.
I adhered the filmstrip on top of the rosette and finished the layout off with the flowers in between the rosette & photo and placed a little flower with heart and star in the middle of the view master circle.
Here is the finished layout placed inside the frame. I did remove the glass from the frame as the flowers will not allow the glass to placed inside.

I hope you enjoyed this layout. I had such a great time creating this and using the ephemera pieces along with the rub on's, chipboard pieces and flowers from the July Scrapbooking Club Kit.
Thanks so much for joining me today.
Happy Crafting
