"Beauty's Found Within" - Mood Board Challenge Layout
Happy September Crafty Friends!! Wow isn't this year just passing by so quickly? But if you're like me and love that fall is just right around the corner well then it's okay that September is here! With that comes new kits from Tres Jolie and for my first project I have decided to create this layout for this month's Mood Board Challenge.
The Scrapbook Kit comes with the amazingly beautiful papers from 3 Quarter Designs " Gilded Steampunk" collection. I used majority of everything from the kit for this layout. Here is how I created this layout!
I began by choosing the sheet of paper I would use from the 12X12 papers , I did use the Prima Distress Tool around the paper, I then brushed some Lindy's Stampgang Bayou Boogie Gold Magicals from a previous Tres Jolie Kit, around the distressed areas. I then let it air dry and adhered it to the 12x12 chipboard sheet. Then I printed my photo which I got from Pinterest of course, I loved this image and of course even better her Cage Hoop Petticoat Dress matched this paper collection. Next I added a couple of the metal corners from the Junkyard Findings from Prima Marketing, onto the top corners of the layout.
The printed image was then adhered onto a piece of vellum with gold accents using double sided tape. I then cut in half one of the 3/8 ephemera sheets from the collection. I added foam tape to it as well as to the vellum sheet and adhered them to my base sheet.
I did add a small piece of Black Venice lace onto the pink sheet then added some of the Prima Marketing "Tasha" Gold Flowers and also adding one of the Metal Flowers from the Vintage Trinkets pack. I preceded to create my flowers cluster by starting with some Skeleton Leaves which I absolutely love! Also adding flowers from the kit as well as other Prima Marketing flowers and lastly adding the other Vintage Trinkets metal flower.
Lastly I added a variety of sized and lightly colored of pearl embellishments. I also had distressed and brushed on the gold magicals on the edges of the tag that had the "Beauty's Found Within" sentiment, adding also a small piece of pink trim.
The last step I did is I covered the photo with a scrap paper and I splattered some more of the Bayou Boogie Gold Magicals around the entire layout. Also added some of the half back pearls from last month's card kit ( Belle Fleur).
I had fun creating this layout for the mood board challenge. I love steampunk and I love SHABBY (especially PINK) so this was a perfect kit to create for this challenge.
