Autumn Shaker Cards

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here and I'm back to share another autumn project. I hope you've been checking out all the beautiful projects created by my Design team members.

Today we'll be making some Autumn Shaker cards using the October Cards Tags and More kit! This kit features Autumn Moods papers from Craft O Clock. Lots of extra papers, flowers, charms and so much more.

These shaker cards are so easy to make and a great way to use up your leftover papers and fun to send! Who wouldn't love to receive some happy mail?

The cards I'll be using measure 5 &1/2 x 4 & 1/4 inches. The frames are from 49 and Market that I had in my craft stash.

To start,  I chose which papers I wanted to cover my card bases and cut those slightly smaller at 5 1/4 x 4 inches. This will leave about 1/4 inch white border visible. I inked all my papers using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. Adhere your base background papers to your card using foam dots. I also cut out the 2 images from my leftover 12x12 papers and one tag piece, that I want to use behind my frame.

Take out your cellophane packaging from your kit and lay your frame down and cut out a section. Add glue around the backside of your frame and lay your piece of cellophane packaging in place. Press down on edges lightly. Trim away any excess cellophane packaging from your frame. Repeat this process with the other frame. Then glue your image onto your card base where you want your frame to be.

Then taking some sequins, or beads (nothing too bulky) from my craft stash, I added about 1 tbsp or so of shaker filler onto the center of my card. I don't add too much because I still wanted my card image to show through the window on my frame. Adding some adhesive foam tape along the edge of each frame, making sure there are no gaps, I adhered my frame on top of my card image. See photo:

Now you are ready to decorate the front of your card! I love this part! I like to use a variety of different fussy cut images, flowers and a sentiment! Here's some closeups!

Card 1:

The flowers are from Prima Marketing and were in last month's kit. I fussy cut out the 2 pumpkins, mushrooms and leaves. The sentiment "Blessed" was from my from Craft stash and from Frank Garcia's Amber Moon collection.

Card 2: I fussy cut out the bird/berries image, and acouple leaves. Sentiment was from my craft stash. Some closeups!

I hope you enjoyed my shaker cards project today. Hope you'll be inspired and purchase this awesome kit so you can create something beautiful! Please share your crafty creations on our Facebook page. We love to see what you create. Thank you for taking time to stop by the Tres Jolie blog!
