"Are We There Yet" Scrapbook Travel Layout
Hi again Craft Friends!
My name is Dana. I have a easy travel Scrapbook layout project to share. I know we all have lots of summer vacation photos we want to Scrapbook. Preserving our special moments are so meaningful and fun to create. This month's Tres Jolie August Scrapbook kit is the perfect go to kit when creating vacation layouts. The paper collection this month is from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Once in a Lifetime." You'll receive 12x12 double sided patterned papers, 24 Designs, Tres Jolie Chipboard stamps, Finnibair Mechanicals Rustic gears pack and 15 pc Finnibair Mechanicals Vintage Trinkets Keyboard phases, and 2 packages of beautiful Little Birdie flowers to embellish all your layouts and other projects! From my stash: I used Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, foam dots, photos, jute cord, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Cello sticker tape, white paint, Tres Jolie Chipboard film strip-black (you can find them here https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/borders
To start I chose 3 different patterned 12x12 patterned papers from the kit. Here's a photo of the 3 papers I chose:
I used the light blue paper as my layout base. The beige paper is cut down to measure 11& 3/4 inches, the floral paper measures 11 & 1/4 inches. Glue them on top of each other. Here a closeup look:
Set your layout aside. Take out one of the Tres Jolie chipboard stamps. I applied some White paint along the edge of my chipboard stamp. Let dry. Cut out a floral scrap paper and cut to fit inside your chipboard stamp. Glue in place. See photo:
Taking my Tres Jolie chipboard filmstrip piece, i cut paper scraps to fit behind each section. Trim and glue in place. See photo:
Now take your layout and gather some other embellishments from the kit, to decorate your layout. I cut some journal cards, post card, luggage tag and other pieces. See photo:
I also chose acouple Little Birdie flowers from both packs.
Start arranging your journal cards and other pieces onto your layout. I dont glue in place until I'm sure of their placement.
The luggage tag i punched the hole at the top. I took a piece of jute cord and thread through the hole on my tag and tied a knot. I glued some Finnibair Mechanicals Vintage Trinkets Keyboard letters to spell "Laugh" and glued at the top. I adhered a small photo at the bottom. Then with foam dots I adhered my tag towards the bottom right edge. Here's a photo:
On the upper left corner, I layered the postcard, tickets and tucked them behind 6x6 blue letter card. I glued the post card at an angle over the top of my 6x6 blue paper. I glued a Finnibair Mechanicals Grungy gear on the left side. I cut out a Luftpost piece and attached to my postcard at the top with a piece of Tim Holtz Cello sticker tape. I glued a small photo below. The Tres Jolie chipboard stamp in glued at the bottom corner on my blue card. Here's a photo:
I glued my Tres Jolie chipboard filmstrip along the bottom edge. I glued acouple Little Birdie flowers above my filmstrip and on the bottom edge of my blue card. See photo:
