Another Quick Card

Happy Monday guys, Kim here. Today I am here to share another project for August. I've worked with the scrapbook and mixed media kits, so I pulled out the August cards, tags and more kit and went to work.

If you haven't seen it, here it is:
These papers from Paper Heaven are just amazing! They have a nice shabby chic feel to them yet they are very versatile.
Here is my card:

 

How about some close ups:
This card was pretty simple to make. For the corner cluster, I fussy cut some pieces from the kit. The bigger pink flowers are from my stash, the smaller green ones are from the kit. The metal dragonfly is also from the kit. The pearls are from this months mixed media kit. 
For the base, I used pink cardstock from my stash. Then I layered 2 sheets of paper from the kit separated by a green sheet of cardstock. I cut them 1/4 size smaller than each other and the base.  I also used some thin foam tape between the two layers of paper to give some added dimension.

The wood piece is from my stash. I placed the fussy cut butterfly on the end. I used some stickler to give the butterfly some shimmer. In the background you can see the piece of lace I used from my stash to separate the 2 card layer.

As always, Tres Jolie always hosts a monthly sketch or mood board challenge. For the new year we changed up our challenges. We will continue to provide a “mood board” or sketch, it’s just that the rules changed. We want to include our laser-cut chipboard in the challenge. So, with that being said, here are the new rules.
