Always Take the Scenic Route Layout with Rae
Hi, everyone.
Today I'm sharing another layout I made using the April scrapbook kit featuring the 13 Arts Bella paper collection and this month's mood board:
I focused on using the pinks and greens as well as adding colorful foliage and some distressing to my layout. I kept it pretty simple:
These papers have a lot going on, and are beautiful as is, this piece of paper in particular, so I didn't add any stenciling or stamping.
I took the Tres Jolie chipboard and cut it to fit my design. Then I used some Stampendous embossing powder in Aged Ivory from my stash. On purpose, I left some parts raw for an aged, distressed look to go with the old buildings in the mood board.
I added my photo to the green shutters page from the 13 Arts Bella card making pad that I distressed on the edges. I did the same for the photo.
I added identical flower clusters to the opposite corners. The flowers match the paper so perfectly that I didn't add any ink or anything else. The light colors help draw attention to the photo.
I added a couple of things not included in the kit to complete the design: Prima metal monstera leaves that I added some green chalk ink to, and I also added a Tim Holtz title, distressing it and adding pink ink to blend into the layout.
