"All Of My Forevers" Clear Scraps & Tres Jolie Collaboration

HI Crafty Friends!! Jeanne here this week with some awesome news! If you haven't seen my Instagram or Facebook, I shared a quick reel showing the great products I received from Clear Scraps which I'll share here as well. Back to the news, so Tres Jolie and Clear Scraps have come together for a collaboration, cross promotion, etc. Isn't that GREAT?! What does this entail you might ask, well it means that the wonderful owners of Clear Scraps have sent our Tres Jolie design team some amazing products to create with AND Kim, owner of Tres Jolie and our wonderful boss has sent the Clear Scraps design team this month's Scrapbook Kit to play with too!!
If you have kept up with this weeks blog posts, you can find the beautiful projects my fellow teammates have created with their products from Clear Scraps, so today is my turn to share my project!! I hope you enjoy what I am sharing with you!!
I chose the Mixable "Edgy" Album  which has (2) chipboard pages and (3) acrylic pages. You all know how I love creating mini albums, journals, anything I can use to keep all of my memories in. From Tres Jolie I used last April's Scrapbook Kit  which included one of my favorite collections from 49 and Market ArtOptions Avesta. I created 4 projects with this kit so it definitely is worth it!! I also used left over pieces from the April 2022 Cards, Tags and More Kit.
Back to it, so another reason I chose to use this kit is because I thought it went well with this month's Mood Board Challenge and you still have time to join up.
I began by taking the two scalloped edged chipboard pages and choosing what left over papers I had from the Scrapbook Kit, I traced around the chipboard pages then cutting them out & setting aside. Next using a sponge dauber and Folk Art Vintage White Acrylic Paint, I painted along the edges of these pages on both sides. I took the papers I cut out then using an ink dauber with some Tim Holtz (Mini) Dried Marigold Distress Ink around the edges then adhering onto the chipboard pieces with Beacon Fabri Tac adhesive.
Once the paper was adhered onto the chipboard pages, I set them aside for a bit because I was excited to get to the acrylic pages. I took off the protective film off one at a time, such a satisfying thing (Haha) and decided instead of covering up these beauties, I would apply some Rub-On Transfers from the same 49 and Market ArtOptions Avesta Collection left from the April 2022 Cards, Tags and More kit.
The first one of I applied the Rub-On Transfer that had the beautiful wreath and butterfly, I thought I would only add that and not over do it. I hope you can see this acrylic page on the above photo.
On the second acrylic page which is the last page, I used a couple of the beautiful floral rub on images on a couple corners of this page.
I do want to say that if you have never used Rub-On Transfer sheets on acrylic, make sure you only rub on where the main image is. I only state this because when I started on the first acrylic page, I got a little head of myself and began to rub almost all over when I realized the tool marks were coming thru to the other side, so I had to slowly rub on the image ONLY! It is barely noticeable thank goodness. I then added some beautiful postage stamps from the laser cuts of the ArtOptions Avesta collection. I adhered them using double sided tape. It isn't that visible on the back.
TIP: You can also used Staz-On Black Ink or Ranger Archival Black Ink on the acrylic pages or even stencil, just need to air dry anything you use. Just incase you might not be aware of that. (wink)
Back to the chipboard pages, on the second page, I didn't want to add anything to this page aside from the design paper I had added already. I did this because it would be serving as a "background" to the cover page. On the opposite side I added a photo mat, I stamped the camera image before adhering it. I then used one of the laser cut ephemera frames from the ArtOptions Avesta collection. I added a sentiment and a couple of laser cut images onto the page. I did the same on the second chipboard page but instead of adhering the frame directly over the photo mat, I used foam tape so that your able to insert the photo and the frame will have a 3-D look.
Lastly with the back of this page I added another photo mat and frame just as the previous one.
Finally my cover page, this is acrylic too and was very simple to embellish. All I did was add some of the flowers from the laser cut set, I also threaded some embroidery thread thru a piece of the laser cut image which looks like lace to me. I adhered these laser cut images using both foam tape and double sided tape.
I then put all of the pages together and binded them using different colors of embroidery thread that matched the papers.
Last thought, I did take some photos of the book upwards so your able to see the acrylic pages. I must say these photos don't do any justice to the real creation.
I know this might be the longest blog post I've written perhaps and I hope it is a good read. This was my first time using products from Clear Scraps and I must say I absolutely love them and will be using again in the near future! I hope you will check out the other posts from the design team from this week. You can also see the Clear Scraps design team blog here.
