A View Through My Window
Imagine waking up to the gentle glow of the sun rising over a peaceful meadow, all from the comfort of your own home. With a wooden window adorned with shutters, you can create a picturesque view that brings the beauty of nature right into your living space.
The Mixed Media Kit Has a Gorgeous Window
I had so much fun working with this little window made of wood with shutters. It even has gorgeous little golden hinges! The front of the shutters are already decorated for us. I thought it would be fun to create a little scene through the open shutters. I created a bunch of mixed media papers with the pigment powders previously. It was so easy to mix them with a bit of pouring medium or white craft paint!
Now it is time to create our scenery
I tore up little bits of our papers to create some rolling hills and a gorgeous sunset. I used a bit of liquid adhesive to make sure that they were nice and tidy to my substrate.
Let’s add some details
I added a few details to this scene using some markers and a bit of water. I love how easily you can create dimension with various depths of tone!
Finally, I added some wild flowers because that is what I love to see outside of my window! They are simple little dots from the end of my paint brush.
So, next time you want to start your day with a peaceful and inspiring view, consider creating a window made of wood with shutters that allows you to witness the beauty of a sunrise over a meadow right from the comfort of your own home.
