A Stroll into the Past • Scrapbook Layout

It has been fun strolling into the past with my 3 scrapbook layout using the October Scrapbook Kit.  This final layout is of my grandparents strolling, hand in hand, on the strip in Reno.  My mom thinks it was probably in the 1940s.  I have always loved this picture and thought they looked like movie stars.  My grandma was so beautiful and my grandpa was so handsome, and quite the character!

After auditioning the pieces I wanted to use, I painted the chipboard flourish in Antique White.  I wanted it to add to the layout, but not take away from the photo.

The papers in the kit are from 49th and Market, and there are so many beautiful ones included.  As this is my 3 layout from this kit, I was getting down to the last few, but it worked out perfectly.  And flowers!  Can we talk about how beautiful these flowers are?!?!?  They were perfect nestled against the flourish and the corner of the photo.

  

I went thru the ephemera I had, and chose pieces that coordinated back to the other two layouts I have done.  They were the perfect touch.  Plenty of space left for journaling.  

 

Remember, get those photos off your computer, or out of the box, use them to create artwork to be cherished.  The Tres Jolie Kits take the guesswork out if creating beautiful layouts and projects.
