2 quick simple cards

Happy Monday guys, Kim here. Today I am here to share another project for July. I've already worked with the scrapbook, so I pulled out the July cards, tags and more kit and went to work.

If you haven't seen it, here it is:
Here is are my cards:
I'm still working on the folio, but there were enough papers left for me to create 2 simple cards. The thing about theses cards is, I used I sheet of paper per card. The cardstock and doilies are from my stash, along with the seam binding, leaves and sentiment sticker.

 

How about some close ups:
Both cards were pretty simple to make. I followed the same format. For the background, I cut the paper to cover the cardstock. I left a 1/4 inch border all the way around. I also inked all edges with a nice brown chalk ink.
Then I added a doily on top. For my layers, I took a scrap piece of the background paper and used the backside. I cut one of the "tag" pieces from another sheet of paper and placed the on top. I used foam dots to create depth. Added some bling and sentiment stickers and was done. 

This card was created pretty much the same way. I just added some seambinding down the side and put the doily under that. I also added a die cut leaf branch from my stash (when I die cut pieces, I do a lot of extras in basic colors and have them on my s=desk to use whenever. They come in handy).

We will continue to provide a “mood board” or sketch, it’s just that the rules changed. We want to include our laser-cut chipboard in the challenge. So, with that being said, here are the new rules.
