Hello, and Happy Sunday!
This week was the reveal of the January kit collection! Take another look at the scrapbook kit:
This kit is a bundle of gorgeousness! The paper collection, Vintage Treasures, by Craft o'Clock is so beautiful, and there are so many elements to cut out- perfect for creating layers. Can you see hints of blue? :)
Here's one of my projects I made with the kit:
I started out with stamping the entire page with a script stamp and some blue-green chalk ink which will be more visible in the closeup pictures. Next, I picked out some of the printed chipboard frames, and sanded them a bit, and painted them with white gesso. Once dry, I added brown chalk ink and copper wax for a distressed, almost faux wood finish, and glued them to the page to poke out from the photo and paper layers.
I also used this same technique on the printed chipboard banners, and added some number brads that I painted as well. The blue in the debossed numbers is a matte blue pigment powder from my stash.
I used Stampendous embossing powder in aged copper on the Tres Jolie chipboard swirls.
It's a mixture of colors and it looks awesome and different every time you use it.
I also added a couple of kraft roses from my stash which were a perfect match and compliments the blue 49 and Market flowers which I dampened with water and a small paint brush, then brushed on some brown chalk ink to blend in and tone down the brightness of the blue.
