All Pink layout by Annie Carignan

Hello!

presenting today another layout from May Scrapbook Kit at Tres Jolie.

Lots of beautiful products included :

I took this wooden paper from Lemon Craft as my background and put a coat of Clear gesso first.

I used a stencil from my stash with Modeling Paste and created a design starting at the top right coming down in the middle.  Once that was dry I used watercolours , Red, Pink and Orange on the paste. I also did a few splashes here and there.

If you remember for my first layout this month, I had kept some peaces of chipboard : I used them for this layout .  I also used some of the paper clocks and butterflies I had previously cut out.  I added some cheese cloth, flowers and Nuvo dots.  To finish, I took some White Gesso mixed with a little bit of water and did some splashes.

Here are some close-ups :

The small phrases are from the Cards, Tags and more kit.

I almost always use the vellum you can find in Prima flower packs, LOVE them 🙂

Also used the cute bow pin and badge.

Don’t be afraid to add color to flowers :

Weekend by Annie Carignan

Hello everyone !  Spring is here and I think this kit contains the best colors to make beautiful layouts of Spring or sunny Summer days!!!!

This one was pretty simple to make because I loved the background so much  that I wanted to hide little as possible.  The flower corner was my first inspiration.  I took a very delicate stencil from my stash that has small flowers just to create a bit of texture.  I took some Pink watercolor to add color but not a lot.  I used the 12×12 paper that had cut outs plus the Ephemeras (clocks and butterflies) for embellishments.  I used one of the chipboards from Creative Embellishments and finished with a badge, flowers and also the Nuvo Pink to make dots.

Here are some close-ups :

Here is my layout :

As you probably already know, I always put a coat of Clear Gesso on all my layouts first.  The brand really does not matter, as long as it is Gesso !

After putting the Gesso I decided to use another paper on the background… so I put Gesso on that too !

Did some tearing on top and bottom, love how that looks !

I used a stencil from my stash with Crakle Paste but it can be any Modeling Paste, Heavy Gesso, Heavy Gel, whatever you have that has texture.

Once everything is dry, I can start playing with my watercolors !  I am trying to match the colors of the papers 🙂

I did the same thing with the Chalk included in the kit and mixing it with a little bit of water.

Here I used the chalk again but this time on the chipboard for an opaque look.

When it was almost dry, I took the same watercolor and put a little bit on the chipboard.

I really love the result ! I cut the chipboard into little peaces so they would show all around my layout. I place the peaces where I wanted them and put glue right away.

Here I decided to keep a few peaces for another layout.  On top of the chipboard, I used one of the die-cuts from a 12×12 paper and added cheese cloth. I also used the stamp from the kit on top and bottom.

I used watercolor again but on the flowers so they could be a little bit Pink.  I had previously cut out the clocks and the butterflies from the Vintage Ephemeras and used them around the photo.  Here you can see I am applying Stones with Gel Medium which I use as glue.

Here you can see the final result with the pearls 🙂

Shabby Chic Cards

Hey everyone, Kim here. Today I am going to share my first projects from the Card, Tags and more kit. This kit is full of beautiful papers and ephemera from Lemoncraft.

Let’s take a look at this months kit:

This kit is filled with lots of paper to create plenty of Shabby Chic Easter and Spring cards. Plus plenty of embellishments (for a full list of contents see here).

Here are my first cards. They are a bit Shabby Chic:

How about some close ups:

I love the soft colors of these papers. The basics complement the pattern paper so well. I used one of my favorite doily die cuts on both cards. I also cut out some pieces from the ephemera sheets to use as embellishments.

The chipboard swirls are from the kit and I just left them naked. The white lace is a leftover piece from a past kit.

Today’s tip: Use pieces of foam tape in between  your paper layers to add dimensions. I used a thinner foam tape so the cards weren’t to bulky and it turned out nice. I was able to stick my die cuts between the layers and my cards were still able to fit in an envelope.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Friends layout with Ginny

Hello all,

It’s my last project of the month using the Tres Jolie July kit.

I have really enjoyed creating with this kit, I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the designs created by our DT.

My layout this time is based around a central design. It is a simple layout using a texture base stencilled background and some embellishments framing the photo.

I used one of the plain dotty papers for a background paper.

My focal background paper I trimmed 1cm off on two sides to reduce it enough in size to see a border of the dotty paper when it is mounted on it.
I punched the edge in random places around the paper and then distressed the edges.

I chose a lovely flourish stencil (not sure of the brand of this one from my stash) and designed the stencilling so that when I add the central design some of the stencilling will show out from under the edges.

My photo is layered on a neutral patterned paper with the doilies and overlapped on the chipboard piece that has been heat embossed with a white embossing powder.

I then added the flowers, leaves, badges, some metals and Nuvo drops around the layout to finish it.

Here are some close ups of the finished layout.

I again used some fussy cut butterflies cut from that gorgeous paper full of them!

The title was a chippie from my stash but was perfect for this layout so I had to use it. It is just simply covered with a couple coats of white gesso.

Everything on this layout is from the July Scrapbook Kit except the metal cogs (which are from the Mixed Media Kit) and the chippy title. The texture paste is from the June Mixed Media kit.#

“Dream” Layout with Rae

Happy Saturday, crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing the last layout I made with the beautiful July scrapbooking kit. I’ve had my eye on this picture I found on Pinterest for a layout for quite some time, and this kit was perfect to showcase it with the Violet Silence papers by Lemoncraft!

I started the layout by ripping the purple sheet, and the adding it to the ivory sheet of paper. I created some background texture with a script stamp and purple pigment ink, and then a music notes stencil and clear texture paste.

I cut a piece of chipboard into a circle frame, and then added some of the Nuvo drops to the circle in a thick layer, then added some white embossing powder for a textured, distressed look.

I was out of the purple flowers from the kit so I added some form my stash to coordinate with the ivory 49 and Market flowers. I tore apart some of the ivory flowers to use the inside layers for some smaller sizes.

I decided to cut up the gold trim from the kit. I cut the small flowers away from the scallop part of the trim- I used that as a layer under my photo mat. I placed the smaller flowers to peek out from under the flower clusters, and also to add to the proximity of the title from my stash,
