Mood Board Monday (Wild Soul)

Hey everyone, Kim here. Today I am bringing you in a little closer on my layout I created for this month’s mood board challenge.

So what is a mood board and how do I use it? Well, let me explain (kinda). Our mood board is a grouping of images (most of the time loosely linked to the kit contents) that when you look at them they will inspire a mood you want to created with your project. Sometimes you maybe inspired to use the same elements/colors/objects from the mood board in your project. Is that clear as mud on how the mood board works?

Here is this month’s mood board.

Doesn’t this get your creative mojo going? I just love the colors.

Here is what I created:

I was inspired by the ledger pattern, the flowers and some of the colors.  I had lots of fun creating this layout.

This is just a random photo of me.

How about some close-ups.

I did some misting in the background. I used some Prima mist in antique gold and boysenberry from my stash (they are a perfect match for this kit if you own them).

I embossed the chipboard with some Lindy’s embossing powder. The leaf and butterfly die cuts along with the  gold frame are from my stash.

I just showed you how  I was inspired by the mood board, now it’s your turn. Join the challenge, it’s a lot of fun to see where your creativity takes you. Remember you don’t have to be a subscriber to play along. The prize for winning will be worth it.
