Happy hump day y’all! Michelle here, working with the November mixed media kit!
Today I’m showing you how I used some of the beautiful Prima patterned tissue paper and the other mediums included in the kit to embellish this wooden cut out I found at my local dollar store.
I just used some Mod Podge from my stash to adhere the tissue paper, brushing it on the wooden cut out first and then laying the cut out face down on to the back side of the tissue paper (so the pattern would be showing when I flipped it over). I then flipped it over, smoothed it out and after if dried well I tore off the excess tissue paper.
To embellish it, I used the Ranger Distress Paint in “Crackling Campfire” mixed with some texture gel from my stash and applied it to the cutout with a pallet knife. While it was still wet I sprinkled a bit of glitter in the paste and pressed it in a bit and allowed it to dry well. Then I just applied a bit of the Ranger “Lucky Clover” paint with my finger to add some pops of color. I distressed the whole piece by rubbing the edges with the Prima “Charcoal Black” wax.
To further drive the fall theme home, I added some stickers by A Vintage Girl and Her Daughter from my stash and I was done!
I hope you love it as much as I do and it inspires you to make something beautiful today
