Hey everyone, Kim here. Today I am bringing you in a little closer on my layout I created for this month’s mood board with a twist challenge.
So what is a mood board and how do I use it? Well, let me explain (kinda). Our mood board is a grouping of images (most of the time loosely linked to the kit contents) that when you look at them they will inspire a mood you want to created with your project. Sometimes you maybe inspired to use the same elements/colors/objects from the mood board in your project. Is that clear as mud on how the mood board works?
Here is this month’s mood board, with a twist. What is the twist you might ask? Well, we decided to use a specific color palette to go along with the images we chose. So you have more to be inspired by.
Doesn’t this get your mojo going? I just love the colors.
Here is what I created:
I was inspired by the pattern the peeling paint makes, plus some of the colors. I had lots of fun creating this layout.
This is a photo of dh and I out for dinner on Mother’s Day.
How about some close-ups.
I did some random stamping in the background. Plus I added a bit of the mist that comes in the kit.
I embossed the chipboard with some Lindy’s embossing powder. The butterfly is from my stash.
I just showed you how I was inspired by the mood board, now it’s your turn. Join the challenge, it’s a lot of fun to see where your creativity takes you. Remember you don’t have to be a subscriber to play along. The prize for winning will be worth it.
