Believe by Annie Carignan

Here is my project that I created with the Mixed Media Kit. I loved doing it ! So much that I put it in my living room for decoration this year.

When I received this kit I thought about it all week. I had an all day crop and I was waiting until then to start working on it. By then I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this project.

This is a souvenir of a magical moment that happened when we were walking in the Christmas Market. It was snowing and all of a sudden, we heard Tinkle Bells. Santa Claus was walking outside and came to see the kids, they were so surprised and speechless !! Here they are listening to him speaking. I will never forget that moment !

In the kit there were 3 paint colours : Red, Green and Linen. I used the Linen paint for the base coat. I used the Holly mini stencil on the surface with some Modeling Paste from my stash. One everything was dry I started to play with the Red and the Green mixed with a little bit of water to create watercolour. I added some splashes of paint to pop the colors. The poinsettias were really flashy so I decided to tone them down a little with the Green paint for the pine and with Red for the flowers. I put White Gesso on the ornaments and added Antique Silver Art Sugar. As a finishing touch, I took some Snow I had in my stash and put it on the pines and the poinsettias. I embossed the wood title Believe with Embossing Powder from my stash.
