Bottle Tag and Card set

Hey everyone, Kim here. Today I am going to share my first set of projects from the Card, Tags and more kit.

Let’s first take a look at this months kit.

This kit is filled with lots of paper to create plenty of holiday tags and cards.   Plus plenty of embellishments (for a full list of contents see here).

Here is my first project. It is a holiday bottle Tag and Card set. These were very simple, yet fun to make.

How about some close ups:

For the both pieces, I used the same papers. I cut the bases out of the green cardstock. I used 2 separate sheets of paper for the layers. I used the same process for both. The bottom layer is patterned paper, then cardstock, then another sheet of patterned paper.

The chipboard titles are from the kit and I just heat embossed them with some red tinsel embossing powder from my stash. The white flower and balls are from my stash.

For the top of the bottle tag, I used my 1 3/4 punch for the hole. It’s a good size for almost any bottle. I embelleshed the top with pearls for the kit. It’s hard to see, but I also used some crystal stickles on both to give it a bit of shimmer.

Today’s tip: The dimensions for the bottle tag are 3 inches wide x 9 inches lone. The top is scored at 3 inches. Look for a video later this month.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Shabby Chic Greetings Cards by Ginny

Hello all, Ginny here with you today…..

This month I had the card kit from Tres Jolie Kits to play with…. I am not a regular card maker but I have to say I really enjoyed creating these!
I have made two sets of cards, the second I will show you later in the month.
The card kit features Prima Amelia Rose, beautiful papers, with embellishments from Prima, 49 & Market, Darice and Creative Embellishments.

Here are some photos of the cards:

Now I will show a step by step process for creating them.

Use the white blank cards from the Card kit……

I chose 4 different patterned papers from the Amelia Rose paper pad.
I trimmed the first paper to fit the front of the card making it very slightly smaller then the card size.

Each paper layer after that I made lightly smaller then the previous to create the different layers.

I distressed all the edges and the final layer I tore into to really distress it!

Stick the first two layers onto the front of the card

And the third….

The fourth layer I wrapped the seam binding around it length ways and tied into a bow…….

….and then glue it on top of the other layers.

I wanted to create a decoupage effect with some fussy cutting from the papers. I cut four pieces of similar flower clusters from the floral paper.

With my starting point in place with my chosen main flower I then started adding my decoupage layers next to it, with the use of tiny small foam pads.

If you are layering up amongst flowers you may need to double pads up at one end to get the piece to sit flat.

I then added the next decoupage layer in order of size on top of the first…..

At this point I also started to add more small flowers and the leaves.

The last paper decoupage layer was added…

…along with another small flower and leaf.

I added a couple of single fussy cut flowers to the background before adding my title greeting.

The chipboard titles were embossed with white embossing powder.

Here are the products used on these cards

* Prima Amelia Rose A4 paper pad
* 49 & Market Garden Seeds Watermelon
* Creative embellishments chipboard – Sentimental Words
* Darice Cards & Envelopes
* Tres Jolie Seam Binding

And some close ups……

Birthday Tag and Card set

Hey everyone, Kim here. Today I am going to share my first set of projects from the Card, Tags and more kit.

I have to admit, cards and tags weren’t my thing to begin with, but I am really getting into them now. Especially using these kits. Let’s first take a look at this months kit.

This kit is filled with lots of paper to create plenty of tags and cards. It also have a set of cards with envelopes.  Plus plenty of embellishments (for a full list of contents see here).

Here is my first project. It is a Birthday Tag and Card set.

How about some close ups:

I cut the tag out of the copper cardstock in the kit. Then I created a couple of layers of paper and cardstock and more paper. I fussy cut a few flowers from a sheet of the paper and added it in between my layers. I also added some of the tickets from the kit on top of the layers

The chipboard title and bling are from the kit and I just painted it with black gesso. The oval from is from my stash. I used a couple layers of black gesso, then randomly sprinkled some pink embossing powder on it.

For the mini card, it was done pretty much the same as the tag. I used the copper cardstock as a base, added some layers of paper and embellished with flowers, bling and a frame from my stash. Instead of using black gesso on the frame I used white. I still added the pink embossing powder. The limited edition title is also from my stash.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to follow us on all our various Social Media outlets.

Havana Cards and the Card Sketch with Rae

Happy Saturday, craft people!

Today I’m sharing a couple of fun cards I made with the August card kit, and, I used the first Tres Jolie card sketch designed by owner Kim Heard. Look at how beautiful it is:

I do love to make cards, but I usually get carried away with the bulkiness of embellishments, so I usually just stick them in a box or a gift bag, and these ones are no exception! 🙂 Here are two I made based on the sketch:

Both cards were made using the same design. I started with two layers and added some distressing and chalk ink from my stash. The green is a Tsukinedo Dew Drop ink pad in Ocean Oasis, and the Pink is the Prima Old Rose one. I used both chalk inks on the tickets, banners, and the green on the Kaisercraft wood doilies as well.

I added some a doily and some floral die cuts that I cut from the Prima Havana papers. I also added some Dusty Attic chipboard coins (“Smile” on this card, and “Cherish” on the other one.) from my stash. I wanted them to look like pennies so I added some copper wax paste and the green chalk inkl.

To finish off the cards, I added some black and white splatters of India ink.

Here’s the other card- same design, just different papers, and slightly different elements.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you get a chance to play along with us this month. Details here in the Facebook community.

We’d love it if you used the kits to join the challenges, but if you aren’t already a subscriber, you can still play along with your own supplies. However, consider subscribing! http://tresjoliekits.com/services/

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Card sketch

Hey everyone, it’s Kim. Today I am sharing the cards I made using the card kit and the sketch. I have to say, I’m not the best with cards, so it was good to have a sketch to follow. I’m not sure how that works though. I can create a sketch, but can’t create a card from scratch. Oh well, moving on.

Have you seen our card kit this month? It is amazing!! It features papers from Prima, a die and lots of fun embellishments. Take a look:

There are still  few kits available. You can do a single purchase here or you can subscribe here.

Here is the card sketch for the challenge this month. Make sure you join in on the fun. Post your entry for the card challenge in our Facebook Cafe.

You don’t have to be a kit subscriber to enter, just please don’t enter using products from another kit club.

Here are my takes on the sketch:

How about some close-ups:

Here is that pretty die and my flower cluster. I used the banner tag in the cluster for my sentiment instead of on the bottom.

For my center image on this card, I used the die cut twice and added the wood doily as the main piece. Then I added smaller flowers to accent it.

I love the bakers twine in the kit. The colors are perfect for this bright summery card kit. Plus there is plenty of card stock to make several cards or tags.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Memory Lane Card Set- June 2018 Card Kit By Heather Thompson

Hi again, Heather here sharing another set from the June Card Kit from Tres Jolie Kit Club. This set I decided to go with a set of cards. I usually make two sets, a girl can never have enough cards. You never know when that special occasion will pop up and you need to rummage for that one special card.

I made a video of how these came together.

Here a few close-ups of the cards. I love the beautiful blooms that came in the kit. Perfect for this set.

Welcome to Tres Jolie Kit Club

Hi everyone, welcome to Tres Jolie. We are a new monthly kit club and we are so excited to have you joining us. Each month we will have 3 new kits featuring the best we can find in the crafting community.

So let me tell you a bit about our kits and what makes them different from the other kit clubs.

First is our scrapbook kit, it will be contain anywhere from 10-12 sheets of shabby chic, vintage romantic style patterned papers. These papers are going to be from the top companies, both local and international. Add to that embellishments selected to perfectly compliment those papers. That will include flowers, chipboard, metal, resin, lace or whatever else we can find. Doesn’t that all sound yummy?

Next up we have our cards, tags and more kit. That’s right a kit specifically for that make cards and tags. This kit will alternate between cardstock or tags as the base. It will always include patterned paper and embellishments to build upon that base. What are Cards and tags without flowers, bling, stamps and ink. Who knows, we may even slip in a die (think Julie Nutting dolls) one month. What do you say card makers?

Last, but definitely not least is the mixed media kit. It’s kinda like mixed media with a project. Don’t you hate getting a bunch of mixed media and nothing to try it out on? Not with this kit. It comes with the mediums and a project to use them on. That’s right, you get to get in there and get your hands dirty the minute you finish opening this kit.

The other thing that’s different about our kit club is our dedication to our subscribers. There will be “perks” that as a subscriber only you will be privy too. Sometimes, there may even be a little something extra in your kit.

Our kits will begin shipping in May. For all the details on how to subscribe and shipping please click on the subscribe tab at the top of the page. Also visit the FAQ page for any other questions. If you still can’t find the answer, please email me at Kim@tresjoliekits.com

I know this has been a very wordy post, so I will leave you with a preview of our first kit.
